Morning radio at 530 today played Love Song dedications, so people call in, talk about the big love in their lives and request a song. I enjoyed classics like Whitney Houston’s I will always love you and Christina Perri For a Thousand Years. And lots of talk about big loves... Continue reading

Like me you likely have been touched by illness, and after you stop feeling sorry for yourself you start setting yourself little goals, and the bigger the illness the smaller the goals get. When I got crook a little while back my goals were simple ones like getting back into... Continue reading

Hi Simon I ate meat two or three times a week mainly steak and chicken. The only meet A now is fresh caught Alaskan salmon. Or meat and fish gets its protein for vegetables and seaweed. In the process it takes for the animal to translate the plant protein in animal protein gives us an extra chemicals that aren’t useful for us long-term. The most apprising thing for me about the vegan diet, it’s not makes you feel. You feel much more at peace And much healthier at the same time .

Hi Edwina .. I’ve got the perfect cook book ... I’ll bring it down if you are interested ...
Steak and chocolate brownee are two things I miss most 🙃
The B and B blog is a lot like Vogue. There’s lots of competition for the front cover. But our editors couldn’t turn down your charm and boys good looks. We are hoping it will raise a circulation from the normal eight likes.
It’s fair to say that all of us swimmers would like to swim faster or at least a little easier. We’ve tried talking about swimming, looking at swimming videos, even taking swimming lessons. Trying everything from a high elbow catch to kicking a bit faster. Well now there’s a way... Continue reading

I woke up with my old friend this morning - fear. What if the water temperature has dropped again? What if those blueys are back? What if the surf is too big? And the truth behind all our fears? What if I can’t handle it? And of course fear has... Continue reading

Thanks mate I love blogging
Us swimmers are a hopeful lot. We hope for not too much bump, not too chilly water, and nothing stingy. And we got it this morning - perfect conditions. When you think about it, hope is the beginning of every good thing in our lives. It always believes for the... Continue reading

The inspiration for this morning's blog is from Anne Edwards who suggested I blog on sand. When I asked why she said 'You wouldn't have a beach without sand. And then I thought well, I wake up after a night with the sandman. Then I don't like to have my... Continue reading

Once upon a time in a land far away in Persia a beautiful woman fell in love with a visiting Prince of the Palace. She thought ‘How can I charm the Prince when surely his Palace provides him with all he desires…’ And just when she was in the depths... Continue reading

I wonder why we B&Bers relish our morning talks, and what makes catching up with each other as enjoyable as the swim. Of course there’s lots of reasons why our conversations work, and one of them is because we ‘turn towards’ more often than we ‘turn away.’ Turning towards is... Continue reading

One of the best parts of the swim is not the swim. It’s the rapport of the group and how we connect with each other. So how does it work so well? Studies show its all about presence in two ways. When you want to dramatically improve how you connect... Continue reading

The madness waking up to the coldness. And the rain coming and going like the 144. The sun low in the sky, and the pines restless. I see Ian first, then Anne. And I know why its not madness but warmness that entices me to swim. And like the red... Continue reading

Thanks Elizabeth.
Thanks David, I appreciate it.
Flicking through Facebook this morning, like most mornings, and its all about a mate on a big holiday in Greece, an awesome birthday party in Dubai and great achievement in a son’s life. And I’m grateful for their joy. I love staying connected but in all these big events there... Continue reading

A cool morning warmed up by people, you could say we are sharing feeling and learnings, so we are both better off. Learning a bit more about the ocean conditions, feeling cared for or even just accepted. In theory it’s called collaboration where the relationship is the #1 issue and... Continue reading

Being raised old school male has its pros and cons. You get all the strength of the masculine energy but you often feel trapped in it too because its not cool be be male and vulnerable. You need to be tough and macho and never display emotion. Superman never cried.... Continue reading
