There are 8 pieces that make up the inner layer of this indigo log cabin, as it kept growing and growing until I felt it was complete. Its a story cloth and it only seems appropriate that there are so many pieces to the inside. The story has to do... Continue reading

Looking for a different stitching book from the library and came across this book. I’ve taken an online class from her before and didn’t know about this book. I really like her big graphic style and bright, fun colors. Still working on these. It’s fun to let them dry and... Continue reading

I stared a new sketchbook today. I would really like to carry it with me and find small moments to sketch. To practice. My first sketch: Pencil. Watercolors. Pigma pen. Pentalic charcoal. Derwent graphik pen. Also, an awesome sticker for the cover from NW Art and Frame. xx Continue reading

A few little scraps, now a book mat. Stitched my word of the year on the back. When I put the fringe on, I put it on the top, so when I turn the bookmat around, the word JOY is upside down. Makes me smile. Twisted this piece of scrap... Continue reading

I am all finished with this sweet little wall hanging. It’s a bit bigger than my bookmats I make. I found a small piece of driftwood to use as a dowel to hang it. The top square is an piece I bought from Jude. The other orangish fabrics are leftovers... Continue reading

Some fun ornaments to give. Tissue paper Modde podge and old book pages. Some eco dying using neighbors red kiwi leaves and red maple leaves. Also a rusty horseshoe making marks. Some of the best marks are from the cotton string that was tied around the little bundles. Continue reading

I saw this at C's school yesterday. It's what the kids see as they come out of the lunchroom. How would your day differ if you saw this message each day? I think it is an awesome message. I will verbalize it more to my loved ones. xx Continue reading

These little bags come with gifts and I never want to throw them away. I actually love them to stash things like jewelry and ear buds. I usually want to stitch them and make them special to me. This one came from my Bestie and had a candle from the... Continue reading

She's an amazing gal in just about every way. She is smart, kind, hilarious, loving, generous, trustworthy, beautiful, steadfast and the best listener I know. And that's the short list. I will spend the rest of my life learning from her and trying to emulate who she is. And being... Continue reading

A star, a guide, and some twinkle. There is a treasure chest that's floating behind the pirate ship. The good being left behind while the bad sails away. Although, I think it looks more like a cardboard box than a treasure chest. And I'm OK with that. It's a place,... Continue reading
