Not to worry about the mix up...I just wanted to know how you got this pretty look. The card is so pretty something I must try! - Thanks so much for the quick response.

Love the card...the flowers are so pretty! I do have one question though. Clear embossing powder is on the supply list but the outlines on the flowers look black. Was black embossing powder actually used?

Thank you for the fun salt projects..looks like it would be fun to try. I also want to try some of the ink & alcohol projects I keep seeing on line.
Really love the watercolors! I tinkered with watercolors years ago before life got super busy, now seeing your pretty projects make me itch to play with it again. In fact I just bought another small watercolor set with more pastel light colors. It should be a very cold weekend coming up maybe a good time for getting out the craft supplies. Thanks for the inspiration & looking forward to seeing more of your projects.
Truthfully, I craft to keep sane! This all started for me a child, always making things, & I've never stopped. One of my first purchases from my first job, at age 17, was a sewing machine. Almost all the gifts I give are handmade & also all the cards I send. It just means so much more to give a gift that is made especially for someone, it is unique & made to fit their personality. Thank you for all the inspiration you have given at Papertrey Ink & I look forward to seeing what you get into in this new chapter!
Why I craft? Because it helps to keep me sane...also I love making cards for special people, to fit their personalities. Papercrafting is just so much fun...positively addictive! I also quilt & enjoy hand stitching (embroidery & applique). I started sewing & crafting as a child & have never stopped & I purchased a sewing machine, at age 17, with money earned from my first job.
As sad as we all are to have you leave, in our hearts we know how sometimes a change is needed. I sincerely hope this gives you more time & allows for more balance between work & family. You will be missed not only as a designer but also as the keeper of the Papertrey Ink blog, which has been so wonderful under your care!

It was so exciting to see your name on today's blog, fantastic to have you back! I can only begin to imagine how much fun you are having with all the new products, 4 months of introductions all at once. Love your card & the color combination is so pretty.

Here in northern Minnesota, spring is still far way, in fact a snow storm is on the way for this weekend. We are expected to get 4-6 inches of snow to add to the many already here!

Lovely card, the colors remind me of spring! Here in northern MN everything is gray & white so pretty colors are very welcome.

Also loving the card using Simple Stories: Vintage Blessings. Could you tell us where to find the sentiment?

Thank you, Nichole, for putting this on the website. Dawn certainly will feel the love coming her way. It is such a small thing really compared to the inspiration we all receive from her!
Such a lovely kit to make my cards look even more special!
So many beautiful & fun Christmas stamps to choose from, but probably my favorite has to be Christmas Critters, just makes me smile every time!- Diane from MN.
Love your technique. Unfortunately, without the same colors to work with, mine didn't look quite like metal, still it was fun!
Thanks for the idea for mixing embossing powders, something I'll be trying again for sure. I didn't have the same combination by put together copper, a medium brown & gold, & like how it turned out.
Great technique - my favorite so far! Worked perfectly to use the heat gun to hurry the drying. It seemed the more glycerin in the water the darker the 'leather' turned out. - Diane
Cool crisp weather, fall colors & that beautiful intense blue sky in September. Add to that fall festivals & it is just the perfect time of year!
Wow, what a summer you have had! I'm just so glad that all is well & you are back to creating your lovely projects once again. You have been missed!
