Last week, we had our final meeting with the team before our presentation. During the meeting, we were able to receive some feedback on how we have progressed throughout the semester. We have completed the final ‘look’ of the college plans book for Mark + team. All that is left is to input all of the valuable information we have collected along the way into the layout. We will be left calling any schools in which we have not received feedback yet for. We are SO excited to share this with Mark + team in hopes that this will make connections, bookings, and concerts easier for them! The team has sent out their emails to college event coordinators around the surrounding area - the colleges that we have reached out to are in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee and South Carolina. These are the areas that we believe Mark has the highest potential of obtainable reach going forward. A few replies have trickled in - we believe some of these schools were on spring break last week, per the slow responses currently. Mark + team have given us the approval for our website changes, we have reached out to the gentlemen in charge of Mark’s website-yay! We have also discovered a feature on instagram that allows you to ‘be a business’ essentially and have suggested this to Mark as it will be able to track the gender of who likes what and the age ranges! Not too much has changed since last week. We are still reaching out to colleges to find out how/what they look for when conducting a college campus concert. We had a very successful, productive week this past week. We had our first project review with Drew, where we were able to hone in on some important aspects of one part of our project. Drew was able to make some suggestions towards discovering important insights regarding artists being hired on college campuses. Meggie and Brandi attended a small concert held by Mark on Saturday night in Zanesville, Ohio. It was a nice gathering of insights consisting of how Mark interacts with fans, sounds like in person, and a general vibe. Last week we had our second meeting with Mark and the team. Prior to the meeting, the charter was sent out for them to review and look over. The goal of the meeting was to walk them through the charter’s contents step-by-step and make any adjustments. The general problem, opportunity statement, goals & objectives, scope of the project, deliverables and key deadlines were summarized with the team. After our initial meeting with Mark and his team, we agreed upon a biweekly WebEx meeting every Wednesday. Before our first meeting on January 31st, we plan on sifting through social media to gain a better understanding of Mark’s audience. During our meeting on Wednesday, we plan to go over our Charter with Mark + team. We hope we have understood his needs and wants, while also using that time to uncover any additional requests they might have. Our initial meeting with Mark and his team began with introductions and then went into expectations, both on their side and our side. We came to the conclusion that Mark’s primary goals are to expand his fan base nationally and have a distinguished strategy for certain situations like the release of a single or entry into a new market.
