I have not been blogging for a while.. it feels so good to be back. Last August we were blessed with our twin boys. Time has just flown by and next Wednesday will be there first birthday. I am very emotional about this! Needless to say I have been sewing... Continue reading

The boys took a few naps today and I snagged the few chances I got to sew block 3. Appliqué is so much fun! It definitely has made it easier to stay on track with this sew along with all the prep work I did. All the appliqué pieces are... Continue reading

I am so excited to not only be sewing appliqué but to be keeping up with this sew along. Last night was the first night that the boys slept solid the whole night. I thought that today would be bit easier, they would be a little less fussy. No such... Continue reading

Our adorable little twin boys just turned 5 months old. They are teething and have both decided that they don't like to be anywhere except for in our arms. Of course my husband I don't mind at all, we know that soon they will not be wanting to snuggle and... Continue reading

I haven't been doing much sewing since our twin boys arrived in August. A few weeks early (born at 33 weeks) we were in the NICU with two very strong, healthy but tiny little boys. We came home after just 25 days and our lives have forever been changed in... Continue reading

About thirty minutes from where we live is this amazing pumpkin patch, farm and bakery. The bakery is open year round and my husband and I are in love with their soft pumpkin cookies with cream cheese icing. Since this past weekend was our 12 year wedding anniversary my wonderful... Maybe saying that I am trying to knock things off my to do list before these boys arrive was the wrong term. I guess I am trying to get as much done, as many projects started (and hopefully finished) before the boys arrive. In actuality I am probably just trying... Continue reading

There is something to be said about starting your morning off with sunshine, a little crisp fresh air and a really good breakfast. I haven't been sleeping well the past few nights, mainly due to the twins growing and stretching. They are both about 3lbs each now.. 10 weeks seems... Continue reading

Yesterday I spent most of the day in my comfy pajamas sewing, cutting, a lot of ironing and placing fetch with little Miss Lily. I actually got quit a bit done, but there is still more left to do. I read somewhere that if you lightly starch your blocks it... Continue reading

I just love seeing your posts, such beautiful inspiring photographs. I can kind of relate, I used to be in the kitchen constantly and now being pregnant... with twins, it's all I can do to drag myself in there and throw something together. I am hoping that I get inspired or better yet a huge burst of energy and get back into the swing of things. Fall is just around the corner, so maybe right now enjoy being able to cook light/have take out and maybe fall time will inspire you to be back in the kitchen with your recipe box and new pantry!

I didn't get as much done this weekend as I had planned. We had our maternity pictures and the heat was so overwhelming it just exhausted me. So I puttered around and finished a few things here and there but didn't get to my farm girl quilt blocks just yet... Continue reading

Since I am trying to get my to do list knocked down before these boys arrive I am taking on multiple projects at once. Although that really isn't something new to me. I tend to get a little bored if I just cut and sew the same thing over and... Continue reading

I have been a blogger on and off since 2008. There were some things that I wasn't too happy with and decided to start fresh and change those things. So here I am starting again and feeling really good about it! We will see how this goes, as I am... Continue reading
