New things happening at Stampin' Up!
Greetings! As of September 1st, there were several things introduced and available to our customers. Here is the latest! The new Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine (#149653) is now available to you all! At $120.00, this machine has a wide 6" (15.2 cm) platform that works with all Stampin’ Up! dies and embossing folders. Includes 1 Base Plate (Plate 1), 1 Die Plate (Plate 2), 2 Cutting Plates (Plate 3), and 1 Specialty Plate (Plate 4). Plus, the Magnetic Cutting Plate (# 149656) is available. It is $24.00 and is a thin, fully magnetic sheet with self-healing cutting surface. Magnetic Cutting Plate (Plate 5) holds dies securely in place, even nested dies. This slim, portable sheet replaces a Cutting Plate in your sandwich, making it even easier to take with you. Use with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Why the Stampin' Up! Cut and Emboss Machine? Well, they are Durable machines with high-quality results. The solid steel construction frame and rubber feet that securely grip the work surface produce crisp, clean, precise cutting and beautifully detailed embossing. Easy to use. The machine and tools are designed for an intuitive die-cutting and embossing experience. For example, all plates are labeled with a number and are color coded for easy reference and use when building your sandwich. And just like the name suggests, our Magnetic Cutting Plates have fully-magnetic surfaces to make it easy to securely position your dies and keep them in place. Simple to store. The platforms on the machine folds for space-saving storage and it looks pretty too–the sleek, clean design suits any crafting space. Portable. You can use this machine at home or on the go with its folding platforms and ergonomic carrying handles. It’s also convenient for you attending crops or other crafting get togethers. Also this month is "The Get & Go Starter Kit" promotion. It gives those of you who sign up to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator additional products to help you get started right away. Promotion Dates are September 1–30, 2020. For $99 USD (the basic starter kit), new recruits choose $125... Continue reading

Michelle's Halloween and Christmas in August is the name of the game
Here is hoping that we can actually celebrate Christmas when the real time comes! But until then, I will keep on celebrating. I held my Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering on August 30th with a small group, but boy did we have fun! Here are some photos that my dear friend Nee took and put into PicCollage. We are in-between decorating seasons, but she does such a great job on these I love to share them. We were social distancing, wearing masks (until we ate) and were having social fun! Here are the sample cards/treat box I provided the girls... I have to Thank Akiko Sudano for the inspiration of the Dove of Hope card. I used the white velvet paper Stampin' Up! had last year on the Dove which made her very soft looking. The Owl card was made because I just love the plaid papers in the Plaid Tidings Suite. Of course, the Little Treat Box used everything in that Die pack. It comes with the box die, and all sorts of little embellishments - there is another picture below. LOVE! Did everyone on my mailing list get their Holiday Mini Catalog? I sure hope so. It has plenty of fun things in it to really get you in the mood for the holidays. I started my Halloween by making a "shadowbox" and used old and new Stampin' Up! Halloween designer papers. I have so much of the retired papers it isn't funny and so thought I would use some since I won't be giving this gem away. Also in my stash of collections are stickers from many, many years of collecting. This year is my use up or get rid of some of them. So, many, many stickers were used. Stamps used are from the current mini catalog - used the Flight of Fancy little witch! She is just so cute! I also used some of the bats from Hallows Night Magic, the cauldron and witch hat from last years DSP, and the house stamp from a couple years ago! As you can see, I hold on to... Continue reading

Michelle's still doing Christmas in July in August!
You are all probably saying, what the heck does that mean? Well, since our State (California) is rising in numbers of cases of COVID, I didn't get to hold my "Christmas In July" Sunday Gathering, so I am extending the project and adding some more to my August Gathering, naming it "Christmas In August!" I would celebrate Christmas all year if I could get away with it! Unfortunately others in my family would not be too fond of that idea :). Speaking of Christmas and Holidays, the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog (formerly known as the Holiday issue) is live and available to the public on August 4th! Soon! There are some carryovers from last years Holiday Catalog, so if you loved something last year, but weren't able to buy it then, check to see if perhaps it is in the new Catalog. I like when they carryover some of the wonderful things - I get a second (or third or fourth - ha!) look and usually will purchase it! I was able to Pre-order some things to get my Christmas, Fall and Halloween projects started. That is an advantage of becoming a part of my team as a demonstrator! Discounts, previews of upcoming catalogs, most of all though being part of a very fun group! If you are interested just click on "Join Me" and we can get you started! In June, I did host a small group of my Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering, and we had a Mystery Stamp session. I love how Sharon Armstrong holds these on Tuesdays. It is so fun to see all of the different ideas people come up with. I put together packets that contained all the papers needed - cut and scored. I had selected several sentiment stamps and several other stamps they would need! Water color pencils for coloring in stamps, and any embellishments they wanted. I read the directions to them and helped when I saw confusion on some faces. It is not easy if you have no idea how it is supposed to look, but that is the fun of... Continue reading

Catalog LIVE today!
Happy June Everyone! Even though we are still on partial lock down, it looks like things are trying to get back to normal. I don't know about you, but my June hair appointment is so needed, it isn't even funny! Still, let's keep to our Social distancing and Wear Your Masks. Well, today is a big day! The Annual 2020-21 catalog is now Live for all of you to order! I placed my order, and am excited about all of the new things I will be getting. If any of you want to place an order from the new catalog this month, please use this Hostess Code. If your order is over $150.00, don't use the code as you will earn Stampin' Rewards. Just click on Let's Shop on the Side Bar or Shop Now at the top of the page. Happy Shopping! I promise you won't regret it! :) If you need a new catalog, please email me and I will get you one. Until then, click on the catalog front in the side bar to get a copy of it. Many are on my mailing list so you may have already received one. I hope you like the new products, but there were a lot of carry overs which was a good thing for me. As the year went by, so many people had examples for many of the stamp sets and at times, I wished I had purchased a particular stamp. Thank goodness most of those are in the new catalog, so I still can order them! Yay! PLUS, guess what is coming out soon? The July-December Mini Catalog (formerly the Holiday Catalog) will be coming out early this year! Preview of the catalog will be late June and Pre-Order will start July 1! It goes live in August! In 2021, it will go live in July and be good through December. They will have 3 main catalogs now every year. The January-June Mini Catalog, The Annual Catalog, and the July-December Mini Catalog. So, a good reason to join my team - you get the Aug-Dec Mini... Continue reading

Still staying at home and stamping!
Greetings from the Masked Stamper! (Pun intended) A surreal time for sure. I feel like the Masked Singer, except not quite as good of singer as most of them are. We have been watching that show for the first time this season, and find it a nice break from our usual news junkie days. Yes, we are news junkies unfortunately at times, but at least we are informed (or I hope we are). This post is just a reminder that the new Annual Catalog from Stampin' Up! is going live in June! It is filled with new things and old things - not old per say, but you know what I mean...carry overs. I find that nice so I don't feel so bad if I haven't used a stamp set from last years catalog. I still have a chance to consider it "new" and not "retired". Here is a picture of the cover... New In Colors are coming too! Yippee! The inks will be available some time in late June I believe. I will keep you all updated when they are available. The In-Color paper is available and so are the ribbons. Many of us demonstrators took advantage of a pre-order this month, and hopefully we didn't buy out everything in stock. You know us, we get anxious and want to plan for events and give aways, so possibly buy out something very quickly. Our bad... I am featuring a couple cards that I CASE'd using the Ornate Garden Suite. At first, it was a tad lacy and frilly for me, but I found that some have found the right combination to make them classy. I love vintage, flowery looks, but too much pattern and lacy elements not so much. So, I have to be picky about my cards and not get them too jumbly (is that a word? Ha). The first card is CASE'd from Akiko Sudano. The next is CASE'd from Julie Gilson... Both have inspired me to do more with this Suite so Thank You Akiko and Julie. It really is a gorgeous array of stamps, dies,... Continue reading

Stay Home, Save Lives!
Greetings! These are strange and trying times and probably most of us never thought we would be on "stay at home" orders from the Governments of our states. My husband and I are not going stir crazy as I have read many are. We are normally homebodies and absolutely love our home, so being held up in it has not been too hard. We go out every morning to have our coffee down on our canyon "lookout" that he built in '13. Our kitties go out with us, and we spend about an hour doing our zen coffee thing. It helps us get some fresh air, practice social distancing while enjoying our morning coffee. Plus, we have hobbies that keep us busy! That being said, it was sad that I had to cancel my March Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering. I missed seeing everyone and missed the creativity that we share. It has been hard being away from my gals and enjoying some creative time together. That is what I look forward to the most when we get control of this horrible thing. I am very fortunate to have a boat load of projects to do in my Papercrafting Studio. Mojo has been low, but I am managing to use some older kits from Graphic 45 that I have had since '18! It will be nice to clear out that space they were all stashed in. More room for upcoming Stampin' Up! goodies. The new '20-'21 catalog is coming out in June! There will be some changes to the catalogs this coming year. There will be two "Mini" Occasions Catalogs January - June and July-December. This starts in 2021. This year the 2nd Mini Catalog (Holiday Catalog) will be coming out in August and good through December. So, Annual Catalog good for 1 year, Mini's good for 6 months each. So here is some Stampin' Up! news...As demonstrators, we got the chance to purchase a new Suite called Ornate Garden Suite that will be available to customers April 1st. I have to tell you, it is the most beautiful suite that... Continue reading

Luck O' The Irish!
Dia dhuit! (That is hello in Irish!) Even though I am Swedish and French I like to embrace the Irish holiday. As they say, everyone is Irish for one day in March! Let's cover the latest news first! As you probably know, when we have Sale-A-Bration, there are TWO releases. The second release is available March 3rd! To see the 2nd Release Sale-a-Bration brochure Click Here Both releases are good through March 31st. Purchase $50.00 and you qualify for one of the free items marked with the "Free with $50 purchase" logos. If you purchase $100.00, there is the logo for $100. Purchases can be made from the Annual Catalog and the Mini Occasions Catalog. If you need either of these catalogs and the Sale-A-Bration booklet let me know (note: my order for the 2nd release has not come in yet, so please use the link above). Our February Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering was so much fun! We did a card camp on a smaller scale. I don't know how people handle the 15 card camps. I can barely make up 5, so that is what I stick to. My team and guests like the smaller version, so that helps ease my mind. Here are the cards I made as the samples. Credits for my CASEing... The Lily Pad was CASE'd from Angie Juda. She did it in the Subtle papers and so I just changed it up using the Lily Pad paper. Thanks Angie! The Iris - thanks to Shannon at shannonkaypaperie.com. I loved this one so much, I had to CASE it completely. Tropical Oasis Die Cut Window - Thank You Wendy Cranford for your super video on how to make this card. The Honey Bee card, I partially cased from my friend Tracie Salo when we did a swap, but I also saw a similar one from Karen Ksenzahovic that was similar. So Thanks to Tracie and Karen for the sweet honey inspiration. The Poppy card was also a CASE from my friend Mary Beth Guzzo in the same swap with Tracie and others. Just used some... What fun we are having!
Greetings! Wanted to share our January Craftin' Gals Sunday Gathering that was held January 23rd. We opted for a lighter fare for food because all of us indulged during the Holidays. I made homemade Chicken Noodle Soup in our Insta-Pot and we had a salad bar and fresh baked French bread. We celebrated Valentines Day since our February meeting will be after Valentines Day. I made two samples of simple projects ~ a Valentines Candy holder House and a simple Valentines card. Here are the samples the gals used. Here is the group I just have the best group of gals, missing a few...Love them all! I have had a chance to work with the beautiful Parisian Blossoms Suite. The two "bundles" are so gorgeous, I didn't want to stop! Here are my "experiments". I also whipped up this birthday card for the sweet 1 year old cousin of mine. I love the little ladybug stamps and dies. Our next Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering will be held February 23rd. I want to introduce more new Mini Catalog samples to my team and show some Sale-A-Bration ideas. I better get busy, huh? If you are in the San Diego area and wish to join us please let me know. It is also listed on my Stampin' Up! website https://creatingwithpaper.stampinup.net. I want to remind all of you "thinking" about joining Stampin' Up! during Sale-A-Bration, it is absolutely the best time to do so. Joining my team will be welcomed and here is what you can get for $99.00. $125 worth of products from the Annual or Mini Catalog (or both) because you choose what is in your Starter Kit! A Mini Paper Cutter! A 6x6 Designer Series Paper Sampler (48 sheets). It is comprised of some of all the new Designer Papers (an $11.50 value). A FREE stamp set of your choice; any value up to $45. Where did 2019 go???
Greetings, my friends! I can't believe that I missed the November and December posts! I was busy as a bee getting things decorated inside and out. My husband is in charge of the fabulous light show outside and his famous Macy's window in our Den bay window. I am in charge of all the other interior decorations with his help. Every year we put up 6-7 decorated trees averaging 6' tall. We love Christmas and decorating to the hilt. Now, taking everything down is another story! The inside is about 50% down and packed, the outside about the same. Thanks to my Sis-In-Law and a dear friend, the inside has gone smoothly. Updates to share! I hope you all received the new Mini Catalog (formerly known as the Occasions catalog) that was mailed out late December! January 3rd you could start purchasing from it, and don't forget our Annual Sale-A-Bration has started! Free items with a $50.00 purchase from the Mini or Annual catalog. There are some cute things this year. If you need assistance on choosing when you get your catalog, just let me know. You can order right here on my page. Now let's catch up...Our November Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering was sooo fun! We made "samplers". I purchased some 8x8 frames and made 2 samples that the gals could go with. The imagination that was shown was just amazing. Here are some of the pictures of their handiwork! First are my samples: Here are some of the gals and their projects...they all turned out just beautiful! We all had such fun and the food of course was a big hit too! It always is! Decembers Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering featured our Annual Cookie Exchange! I always treat my peeps to a complete lunch and they bring cookies to eat and trade! We had some awesome cookies that my husband and I enjoyed for a week after our Gathering! Our project was an older Stampin' Up! kit that made Star boxes. I had two kits and had tried to use it up several years in a row! So,... Continue reading

Creating With Paper is loving Peaceful Boughs!
Greetings All! I have just fallen in love with the Stamp Set Peaceful Boughs and it's coordinating die set. Sooo pretty! I wanted to share 3 cards I made from it. The gray one we will be making at my Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering this coming Sunday! It looks difficult, but it isn't and comes out very pretty. Here are the three cards I recently made with it (and the inside pictures too): Here are the supplies I used to make them! Peaceful Boughs Bundle (En) [153033] $52.00 Gold Foil Sheets [132622] $5.00 Copper Foil Sheets [142020] $5.00 Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets [149712] $0.00 Smoky Slate 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [131202] $8.75 Whisper White 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [100730] $9.75 Night Of Navy 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [100867] $8.75 Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper [150429] $14.50 Feels Like Frost Specialty 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 Cm) Designer Series Paper [150444] $14.50 Uninked Stampin’ Craft Pad & Whisper White Refill [147277] $9.50 Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad [147113] $7.50 Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink Pad [150711] $11.00 Celestial Copper Delicata Metallic Ink Pad [150707] $11.00 White Stampin' Emboss Powder [109132] $6.00 Snowfall Accents Puff Paint [150691] $4.50 I encourage you all to get the bundle and save 10%! Page 15 of the Holiday catalog. I have had a chance to use the new Paper Trimmer that Stampin' Up! is coming out with. It is similar to the old one, yet very different. Several demonstrators have given their "opinions" on YouTube, so if you are curious, go check those out. I love it! My only concern is the opening and closing of the cutting blade/scorer "handle". I am so afraid that I will warp it by pulling it up. Probably fretting for nothing, but I had an old trimmer that had a warped arm and it ended up going in the trash because it wouldn't score and wouldn't cut good. But that is the only concern I have. It cuts extremely smooth - even on the whisper white card stock that was always the issue paper -... Continue reading

Holidays are upon us! Yay!
Boo! Be Grateful! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Wow! Here they come! I am very excited this year about all of these Holidays and more! But first lets see what my Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering did on September 22nd! We made a tea light Halloween lantern of sorts and two Fall cards that came from the August Paper Pumpkin by Stampin' Up! I fixed Beef Stroganoff to try and get us in the Autumn Chill mood. But low and behold it was like 78 that day! Oh well, we still had fun crafting and filling our tummys. (You may have to click on the photos to see all of each one. For some reason, my blog isn't capturing the full photo...eek!) We always have so much fun at these gatherings. I wish I could hold them more than once a month, but because I pretty much provide everything for them, it is just too exhausting. The ladies love it just as much as I do though. October 1st is bringing on some new things at Stampin' Up! Demonstrators will get to Pre-Order the BRAND SPANKING NEW Paper Trimmer! We are all so used to calling it the Stampin' Trimmer, but it is no longer referred to as that! I am going to order it and a pack of 4 extra blades to try it out! It still will score in addition to cut, so I am thrilled about that! Plus! It is only $25.00!!! Cheaper than our last one. Bargain, Bargain, Bargain!!! Here is a sneak peak at it: Here is a cute video showing the new Trimmer They do not have a release date for customers yet, depending on how it goes over with Demonstrators. Another great reason to ask me about becoming a Demonstrator! These pre-order opportunities just keep coming! Click on Join The Fun or Join Me for more information on how to become one of my team members! I would love to help you achieve your Paper Crafting dreams! Another exciting announcement is October and November's Paper Pumpkin kits are Special Edition Coordinating Kits called Winter... Continue reading

I finally fulfilled my dream of having Christmas in July. He He! Here are the photos! On a personal note, we took a fabulous Alaskan Cruise the first part of August and as soon as we got home, I got sick! This cold has hung around for 3 weeks now, but I am determined to shake it off! So, I haven't been diligent about writing or crafting. Just a few projects. It seems all of my July pictures have disappeared in the transition from iPhone photos and Google photos. I am still trying to figure out where they went, but technology is crazy, so hope to discover them in some unknown place! Well, I better get this posted...it... Continue reading

Let's get to summer!
Hi All! A lot has happened since my last blog (when was that?). Family is so important to me, and my husband is probably the most important of all. He is finally done with all of his cancer stuff, and we celebrated his last radiation treatment in mid-April. Now with prayers, we won't worry about it any longer. I managed to hold my monthly Craftin' Gals Sunday Gatherings despite the uproar...it was a very important thing to maintain my friendship with many wonderful ladies. We met February 24th and did our Spring of our Four Season Cards (idea from Patti Bennett) using the new (then) Painted Seasons bundle. We also did a purple lily card. Here is the group shot we took. We didn't seem to take pictures of our food for which we are famous for! I believe this is the time we had homemade Vegetable Soup! YUM! On March 24th we did an Easter Card and decorated Styrofoam Eggs for Easter. Using Fabled Friends for both, my egg idea was inspired by Christi Wroe! She does such darling little things, that I tried very hard to make my sample as cute as hers. The gals had a blast using bits of lace, the bunny stamp and blends, flowers from my stash and sequins and such to make some very sweet eggs. Here are some photos and this time we got some great food pics! (HA!) Nee even got some pictures of my Easter decorations...thanks Nee! Then, April 21st, we held yet another Sunday Craftin' Gals Gathering! Same decorations still up since it was just the week after Easter...shhh, they are STILL up! Ha! This time we had a mini tea with tea sandwiches, salads and a fabulous Greek hors d' oeuvre! It was to die for. We did a card camp with only 4 cards, but it was all I could manage at the time. My black and white Thank You card was inspired by Kylie Page, the Varied Vases card was CASED from someone but no name on the picture, the Tropical Card was inspired or CASED... Continue reading

Catching Up and Looking Back
Hi Everyone! Today I am going to go back and catch up with some things! But let's get the business things in first! Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog is still active and popular. It has such a variety of new things, it is hard not to get one of each! But remember for every $50.00 purchase from the Occasions Catalog and the Annual Catalog, you will receive a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration catalogs. Yes, I said catalogs. The 2nd release is here and it has some additional FREE items! So cute! But wait! Starting March 1st through the 31st, Stampin' Up! is offering Sale-A-Bration Coordination! What is that? Well, it will consist of dies for these stamp sets seen in the Sale-A-Bration catalogs: Lasting Lily (Lily Framelits Dies), Hello Cupcake (Call Me Cupcake Thinlits Dies), So Hoppy Together (Hop Around Framelits Dies) and in the 2nd release, Painted Seasons stamp set (Four Seasons Framelits Dies) which is a bundle with some beautiful papers. Also in the Coordination selections is More than Words Photopolymer Stamp Set, and a new Story Label Punch. What a deal! These will be available for purchase, but since I got to pre-order them, I am sooo grateful for the the dies! Saves on the fussy cutting, which I am not great at! If you need any of the above mentioned catalogs, they can be seen by clicking the catalogs on my sidebar or let me know and I will get you one. I have a limited number left though. Now on to sharing my January 27th get together. I held my first official "Card Camp". I supplied everything for 5 cards. Here are the cards that I made as samples... This first one is one that I used for a great Video Boot Camp held by Connie Stewart and Jackie Bolhuis. I made a YouTube video of it..not ready to share to the world just yet - soon though! So all my gals took off on their own. Here are just a few pictures of them and our gathering complete with our food! You know how... Continue reading

Love Is All Around
Oh my, the month of LOVE! What a lovely month it is! We here in Southern California have had more rainy days since the New Year than we have had in years. No complaints, but let's hope we don't slide down the canyon! Ha! I wanted to share with you some Valentines projects first. This one I cased from the New Occasions catalog. Page 4 had the most lovely cards, so I wanted to somewhat replicate one of them. I used All My Love Designer Paper (# 148576), the Forever Lovely stamp set (#148624) and The Lovely Flowers Edgelit Dies for flowers (#148526). As you can see, not exactly like the catalog, but I just kept getting inspired as I went along! Next is one that I used a retired Christmas die, but loved the "theme" of "lighting my fire". The inside is from the Meant To Be Die (it is a bundle) (Occasions page 6 #148626 or #150587 for bundle). Then I made a mixed media sign...this hangs on our office door. I used the Large Letters Framelits (#141712) and Wood Textures 6 x 6 Designer Series Papers (#144177) both in the Annual Catalog. Oh, and the Heart Epoxy Droplets (#146583) from the Occasions catalog. Well, that is all for today. I will be out of town the 7th through the 11th visiting our sweet grandkids. Yay! So, until next time, be kind to one another and make time for CREATING WITH PAPER! Continue reading

My Halloween Projects
Hi There! I just wanted to share some of my recent Halloween projects. It has become so difficult not to go right in to Christmas, and I admit, I have done a few Christmas projects. But, I decided to put those aside and concentrate on Halloween and then try and concentrate on Autumn projects... So, here are just a few examples: As you can see, the tags are using some Stampin' Up! new stamps and dies...they are just so cute! I love the little witch and cauldron. The first photo of 3 different projects, the ornament was my first try at making those. It isn't pretty in person, but it photographed nicely. Ha! I was inspired by Christi Wroe and her Christmas ornaments. But I need practice! Not good with hot glue...but I will practice! I have some more cards to show you, but wanted to get this posted. Until later, be kind to one another and remember to make time for some Creating With Paper! Continue reading
