The first day of the capstone class was extremely overwhelming and I was pretty nervous and anxious on working with such an important client like The Christ Hospital. After weeks and weeks of data collection, meetings, discussions and reviews, we finally presented the finished marketing plan to The Christ Hospital’s Marketing team. The feeling when the project was actually delivered to the client was just too great! Especially when Amy appreciated the work that we did and said that some of the ideas could be put to use right away, it instilled a feel of an accomplishment. There wasn’t much... Continue reading

I am glad that we have a lot of ideas at this point of time for our project. Our team has been meeting consistently after the second project review and it has helped us a lot in making sure that all of us are on the same page. As we progress further, more and more ideas are coming up. Our client is going to be on vacation intermittently this month of July . So there might be a delay in response from her. Apart from that, we are working our best to keep all the work going from our side.... Continue reading

The second project review was an eye opener for us. We knew what we were doing, but this meeting gave us the necessity to set a solid goal and put a lot more effort in the research that we are currently doing. We need to find correct and accurate answers for some questions pertinent to the project and we have already forwarded them to our client. Apart from this, incorporating the Big-Picture concept for our project would be the next big step that we are working on. We have 3 full-fledged qualitative interviews done by our team member Sean. Not... Continue reading

Actually, there isn't much to be updated this week, since we are almost at the same stage of the phase. We are all eager to analyze the data once we get it. Our client would let us know whenever it is available. Additionally, the interviews done by us are about to be wrapped up soon and we would have a good volume of stuff to start the analysis and come up with the strategy. Our ideas, the insights got from interviews would serve as the backbone of the marketing plan. Innovation would also be incorporated considering the relevance of the... Continue reading

One more week passed. Not a lot happened in terms of the project. We got our first review done on Tuesday and decided that we would be attending one of the Innovation classes in July. It wasn’t a busy week, but things are quite as paced as they should be. Our qualitative research questions are with the consultant and we met her on Monday to discuss more about the progress of the project. The meetings with Amy have always been insightful and now we also have some ideas to share with her and get her feedback on. The next actions... Continue reading

We had our first project review with Drew today. It went pretty well and I think it gave a good direction in terms of the “innovation” aspect that we need to incorporate in our project. We already have turned in our charter and it is in the process of being reviewed and finalized. We will be meeting with Amy next Monday to discuss more about the same. Finally, we have some ideas for the Marketing plan that we would be presenting. Personal interviews conducted by some of us gave a number of good insights that we would definitely use in... As Drew always says brevity is a virtue, the blog posts after this would be more condensed and less wordy. This is also one of the things a marketer is ought to learn; conveying meaningful thoughts and communicating messages in few words, within a short time limit. As far as learning goes, we tried to move forward in terms of getting the work done. The first draft of the charter was created and the first status report was sent to our point of contact from Christ, Amy. All of us have been thinking about some creative, wild, crazy ideas but... Time went by super fast and here we are, in the second week of Capstone! Last Thursday, we got to meet with the Service Line Team, and the meeting was also attended by a few doctors. It was great speaking to them, since we got a deeper understanding of what they actually aim at and to know their perspective on the current situation. I believe that after talking to this team we would be in a better position to analyze their core competency, which would further help us in formulating a solid strategy. I kind of already know what should... Continue reading

The last class before we graduate finally commenced. As much anxious we were, there was also huge excitement to work with a real client and complete a tough project successfully. I was assigned the Christ Hospital Health Network and was all keen on working with the Marketing team of one of the biggest hospitals in the Cincinnati area. The first lecture turned out to be very insightful terms of the preparation for the initial client meeting as well as being ready to face the various challenges that were on our way while dealing with the client. We met with Amy... Continue reading
