I love your comparison of your dating life to Red Riding Hood. I think many can relate to this journey in various magnitudes. I log your ending - NOT THIS TIME! Powerful.
Not This Time by Marilee Lasch
There is a song by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs written in 1966 with the lyrics, "Hey there Little Red Riding Hood, you sure are looking good, you're everything a big bad wolf could want." When I was young, dating was a very, very important part of my life. Living in North Dakota, my image o...
You are very brave to do the story slams! I can't even imagine having my name pulled out of a hat, telling a story and then get it voted on. You go girl!

Life long learning at its best!! We keep learning and that is a good thing!
What Will I Learn Next by Stephanie Nowack
Since I have embarked on this new world of storytelling, I have learned so much more than I ever imagined. I have learned that…even the most basic human experience, like finding a good haircut, can be a story. I have learned that... even if you think you don’t have anything interesting to say,...
You remind us that our stories can be simple things from our lives that others can relate to. Great description using the crucible.
The Storyteller’s Crucible: Finding a Personal Story by Mark Goldman
Crucible: 1: a vessel used for melting a substance with a high degree of heat 2: a severe test 3: a place or situation in which concentrated forces interact to cause or influence change or development [My note here – a good story!] “More weight.” These are the last words of Giles Corey in A...
