I'm so glad I made my move to InWorldz. Yes I still have some RP regions in SL that bring me back to play, but most of my friends are in IW now and you know, in the past month, three places I was living in SL shut down. (two of those Regions had been around a long time) I love that in IW I can afford to upload images, textures etc.. learn how to expand on the same skills I learned in SL but at no cost. *happy dance* - If I want pro type content and game experience I'll go play Witcher or spend the evening playing WoW -- but if i want to create or express myself, it is no longer going to be done on a platform that has grown bored of itself.

Funny how I went back to Wicca - I think really it's because in Wicca we aren't taught what to believe. There is no 'Right Belief' -- in many ways Wicca often doesn't seem like a religion and instead seems like a spiritual practice. Like the Golden Dawn. My issue with Judaism (which WAS going fine) was that when I read further into it and studied more and learned about the origins, and the assimilation or whatnot of the Canaanite Deities that were originally followed. When I learned about Canaanite El - Ilu, I realized that in Judaism, it was the pre-Yawhweh, El version of the Israelite God that I felt so close to. Following Judaism would mean reconciling with a history that involved a genocide and hatred toward the Canaanites. Wicca doesn't tell me what to believe. It gives me a practice I can use to honour Deity. Whomever those Deities may be.

Weekend is almost here. Thank goodness. The scent of cherry blossoms is on the wind , the sun is gaining in strength actually causing SWEAT erm.... perspiration, and the sky is still light after the dinner dishes are put away. I'm not sure which I enjoy more, Spring or Autumn.... Continue reading

I remember when I first started blogging. I wrote so many personal, angsty, emo things. It didn't occur to me what sort of audience would read it really. The people I followed were much like me - the sort who needed to express their depression, or hurt. Dark poetry about... Continue reading

I was trying to find a 'simple' way of discovering other typepad bloggers. Not just the featured blogs/sites but the average joe. I know that people have moved to wordpress in swarms. I have a wordpress.com blog and It's quite fine, though maybe a little much for what I need.... Continue reading

@Vikki - I am super excited too. Some years I dread it as spring sneaks up, but this year I feel really good about it. I had a butterfly garden in my last place. I can't remember what we planted... there was BeeBalm, and Butterfly Bush.. a few other things. Green growing things are awesome.

This year will be our first year without the massively tall obtrusive cedar hedges and large unused shed. Husband and I went out to Home Depot to price some lumber, with the intent of making a very simple pergola/gazebo type thing. 4x4 or 6x6 posts with 1x4 across the front,... Continue reading

Something old, but something new for me. I started on Yahoo GeoCities years ago, and as that shut down, kept a page at MySpace. Then I heard about LiveJournal and went on to start REALLY blogging there. After a year or so I heard about Blogger and went over to... Continue reading
