People appear to not know what a "safe space" is. A safe space is an opportunity for members of a pursued minority to meet and discuss their issues without being watched or monitored by members of the mainstream society. It is legitimate for members of a minority that suffers from extreme racism to meet alone. For the same reasons, a womens' club will not allow men, a club of disabled people will not allow non-disabled people or a club of blind people will not allow non-blind people. Dear white people, please don't act like you do not have exclusive clubs. There are clubs where you are allowed to enter only if you can prove via a gene test that you are a descendant of the Mayflower people. We want to discuss our issues and strategies forward without being watched; I think this is not asked too much.
