I love everything about this month's mail kit!! I could see "Don't quit your daydream" framed and hung near my bed, I love it! I also agree with Sarah above, I would love to see some sample pages of the messy box! I'm not sure which one I like better, as they're both so full of fun!

Happy Mail & Messy Box Unboxing: July
Time for one of our favorite reveals of the month—Happy Mail and Messy Box unboxing! Both of the kits this month are just awesome! And even if you aren't a subscriber, you should at least watch the first 30 seconds of this month's video because Elsie totally spills the beans on something... :) ...
Mixed neutrals with fun pops of color is so pleasing to my eye right now. even though I'm not in the market for a home (and probably won't be for a very long time!! Side-eyeing at student debt) I love to fantasize about my perfect home!! I like to play a lot with textures and graphics (faux bois, super textured paintings, mosaic tiles) too. This is great inspo to bookmark for later!!

How to Choose a Color Story for Your Home
Last time we were planning to move, I tried something really different. I picked out a color story to use throughout our entire home. So before I picked out a single paint color or bought a piece of furniture, I spent some serious time (maybe even too much time—haha!) collecting inspiration and...

Tulle Circle Skirt DIY
So, I've pretty much had a crush on all the tulle skirts I've been seeing online for quite sometime now. They are just so flirty and fun, and I love seeing them worn with a casual t-shirt and a leather moto jacket for a twist on the fancy vibe they usually have. I've seen a few pretty ones whil...
What a warm and inviting home. I'm loving how you can see signs of LIFE (the kid's drawings on the walls, cork board full of notes, etc. makes it so much more relateable. I feel like a lot of beautiful homes look a tad too museum-y, with so much "why?" decor that just collects dust from sitting there!! This place is BEAUTIFULLY and cohesively decorated to feel mid western-y and just like a warm inviting place. Happy to see this home featured on ABM

At Home With Brooke Fish
We are welcoming Brooke Fish to the blog today as she shares her mid-century home and workspace with us! "My husband is a photographer and was renting a studio space for years downtown. We finally decided it was time for him to have an office from home since he's mostly on location. Our hopes...
I've always said that the easiest way to makeover a room is to put a mirror in it!! Mark Montano's Big A$$ Book of Crafts has a LOT of DIY mirror ideas that are AMAZING. And can you really paint upholstery without sweaty legs making the paint bleed on your skin? I'm definitely curious!! :D

Make Your Own Gummy Candy!
So, we are a little bit obsessed with gummy candy in my house. Well, by "we" I actually mean my husband who loves it enough for two, or maybe three, people. We had a candy table at our wedding reception and made sure it was well-stocked with all the gummy candy varieties necessary for the event...
I'll be honest! I never gave much though to wallpaper as I did right now! These are SO cool, I've never seen creative wallpaper like this before! I especially like the one with the blue waves...oh that sailboat in front of it is too adorable for words. I think wallpaper makes an excellent background for a selfie hehehe!!!
I'd love to get swatches of these to test in my home!! If it fails, well...I guess I have really unique gift wrapping paper! ;D the wrapping paper at the Container Store is AMAZE, by the way.

Let's Talk About Wallpaper
So this past year my heart changed toward wallpaper. Actually, I would say we fell in love. I was like the Grinch when his heart grew three sizes— .... Wallpaper did this to me, you guys. ♥♥♥♥ I guess there was always a (little) part of my heart that loved wallpaper. It's just that 99% of wha...
THIS seems like a good read...I always head over to Barnes and Noble and skim through tons of books. I'll be on the lookout for this one on my next trip! My favorite thing is thrifting things and recreating them into beautiful anthropologie-worthy items...my ultimate dream job is to open up a shop with all my re-purposed creations. This seems to be up my alley! Thanks for this suggestion, Emma!

Recent Read: The $100 Startup
Just wanted to share a recent read with you all this lovely Saturday. For the last few months, I've been (very slowly) reading The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. The reason it took me months to get through isn't because it's boring or I'm a terrible reader (I swear!). There is just so much g...

Scrapbook Sunday: Keepin' It Simple
Hi, friends! Happy Sunday. Today I'm here to share some super simple scrapbook pages with you. I made these three pages in an hour (or two?) one afternoon last week. I've probably said this before, but my favorite way to scrapbook is current and FAST. It's so much easier to scrapbook things tha...

Peaches + Ricotta Pancakes
Did you know that pancakes was one of the very first things I learned to cook? It's true. Elsie and I both decided one day (I think in early high school or maybe even middle school for me) that we were going to make pancakes. We were TERRIBLE at flipping them at first, of course. Pancakes are h...

Tabletop Tic Tac Toe DIY
I don't know why, but it took me a while to get into the "coffee table decor" area. I've only recently started collecting a few fun coffee table books to keep out for guests to look through, but I really like having little things like that out to help make my living room a more welcoming area. ...
I'm in a rut too...my style is sort of "going/coming back from track practice for my middle school track team" hahaha. Just have to comment on the graphic bag; I LOVE that print!! I need to spruce up my wardrobe terribly!!

Sister Style: What To Wear?
Do you ever wake up and look in your closet filled with clothes and feel like you have nothing to wear? I've been going through that lately. An awkward phase, for sure. I'm itching to evolve. Most days, I feel like I am either way dressed up or way dressed down (like, "I hope I don't see anyone...
loving this modern idea! marble patterns like this are like a geometric fingerprint and it's a cute way to spruce up a living space. i'm thinking of doing this with an andy wharhol poster and black paper :D

Try This: Mat Marbled Paper for Easy Wall Art!
I am a sucker for a good marbled pattern. There's something about knowing that that swirl of paint or ink is totally unique and can never be totally recreated again that makes it feel so special. It's the snowflake of the art world. Marbled paper has so many uses—you can use it for cards, paper...
This is such a cool idea I would have never thought of!! Rest in peace, beautiful thrifted book. Your book cover is living a happy life. Maybe those pages can be used for kindling but I don't want to add insult to the injury hahaha :D

Invisible Bookends
Bookends are a great way to add a bit of style to your bookshelf, but what about when you don't really have room for a big ol' bookend? Or maybe you just want to keep things simple on your bookshelf. I had that problem recently. I needed a way to keep my books standing up at the end of the shel...
excellent idea and beautiful colors!! i love that it is conservative with the ink..so many marbling techniques become a tremendous waste of ink/paint and materials!

How to Marble with Shaving Cream and Ink!
Hi, friends! Today I'm here to teach you how to marble with shaving cream. If you've done any type or marbling with water and nail polish, you know how incredibly fast it dries and how difficult it is to get a desired result. It's super fast-paced, almost to the point of being a little stressfu...
