I love June also - and your photos capture the amazing light that is June! Thank you!
I like both and for different reasons! The one on the left is vibrant and appeals to my eye, but the one on the left gives me ideas for stitching! There is much opportunity in each photo! Thank you for sharing (and yay for sun!)
I'd say it is a fantastic omen! Have an amazing June!

I love the look back and look forward reminder! That happened some here as well. I am hoping that the return of the congress does not mean the same old, same old - although I fear it does. Perhaps if they spent more time listening and less time talking things might be better! lol
I like AQST - perfect way to regroup the day and catch up what got lost in the days shuffle! And, I am glad Typepad is back on track too!
So cute! I love how it turned out! And, the sound tracks are so perfect!
Yes! And, even though January is deplorably long - each day brings us a wee bit more light and I will cling to those additional moments for all its worth! And, a pox on those January Gym people! lol

That swift is incredible! Here is to the frenzy calming down and the knitting picking up!

I do not see the exhaustion in that photo, but rather, I see 3 faces that are obviously related - and beyond that I see an abiding comfort in being together! As for WW - I have been plodding along with it and could not be happier! There is a phone app that makes tracking points and activity super easy (in fact it pulls data from a number of activity trackers, Apple Health if you have an iPhone and Fitbit are ones that I have). Anyways, you can count on me to cheer you on!!

Oh, Honore! Yikes!! I am so glad you were not more seriously injured as well! And, how ironic that you and Typepad would both have "technical difficulties" on the same day. However, I am glad you write hand (and I am assuming your stitching hand) are none the worse for the incident! XOXO

I love your start to 2017! Awesome way to begin!! I do resolutions, and last year was my most successful year - I think that success is directly because of my blogging - I did quarterly check ins - and that really made an impact for me. So, year two of resolution success is underway! I am also doing OLW - my word this year is JOY! XO

Great post, Honore! I love the artwork practice! A house with 2 creative souls is a special place. I really am looking forward to Norman's poetry!
I am one of the generation of large pieces of furniture that were televisions and stereo's! My kids think the photos are hilarious! I love the tiara and 1960 banner! And, I love the memories you shared! The Greatest Generation is a most fitting title for those times!

I love this problem process, however, this is the best part: "There is one thing I can manage and do focus my attention on...and change: ME!" I need to work this into some artwork that hangs at my desk - because far too often I try and determine how to change others, when I need to be focused on me! Thank you Honore and Merry Christmas!!
Thank you for sharing such deep emotions and some incredible insights into not getting bogged down. And, yes - I agree completely that writing is a powerful way to dump thoughts, feelings, irritation, anger, and pain. But, your keys to moving beyond writing will stick with me as Kym said. You do inspire me! XO

For those of us who believe in what the scientific community has been reporting on for a long time - Global Warming is real. And to the faction of citizens who are want to disavow those facts - I am sorry, but it is reality! **steps off soap box** Sorry, Honore - I could not help myself! Happy Friday!! XO
I love the quiet Christmas spirit in this post. In spite of challenges at every turn, there is a determination that is beautiful. Thank you for sharing and best wishes to you and your family for Christmas!

Oh my gosh!! Yay! Hahahaha! What a fantastic surprise!! And, I look forward to gifting this book forward! XO Now, as for WIP's - I had worked so hard to tame them over the summer and I have cast on a project and I am chomping at the bit to cast on a few more!

Wow, your summer list is wonderful and your autumn list is even better! Slow fashion - hmmm, well - I think that it is like anything, how you make it your own is crucial, imo. A good place to start if you want to sew is Sonya Phillips 100 Acts of Sewing patterns. She writes them specifically for ease for new sewists. I really enjoy how simple they are (and I have been sewing for a very long time) - sometimes simple is better!

The food photos are fantastic! And, they all look so delicious! I hope your elbow is soon on the mend and I am sorry about the death in your family, however, you so beautifully shared about him here - I hope that his memories fill you all in the coming days.
What a fantastic weekend, Karen! I love your photos! And, yes - GO YOU!!
