The NC GA also has the DUTY to not enact unconstitutional laws, but that hasn't stopped them.
The AG isn't legally required to uphold laws that are unconstitutional, so sorry that he's doing exactly what the Texas AND Kentucky AGs did when they defended clerks refusing to sign marriage certificates for same sex couples.
