Our last call before the final presentation took place last week. We were anxious about how the client would receive our final ideas/executions. I was happy that P&G liked most of our ideas. A good move from our side was also to share some of our backup ideas – the ideas that were going to feature in the appendix and turns out P&G really liked them. The ideas got more strength as the client gave us more reasons as to why a certain idea would work – reasons we had never thought of. It was an interesting discussion and I... Continue reading

This past week has been really hectic for me personally, having to move into a new house is not fun and the process is still not over. Nothing much has changed for our project in the past week as our client wasn’t available to go over our executions. Our meeting is presently scheduled for tomorrow and hopefully once we have the clients inputs we can get working at a much faster pace. Currently, our final presentation is scheduled for the 19th of August. With less than three weeks to go, I don’t think our team will have enough time to... Continue reading

This past week our team got a lot of work done and it feels good. We had a short meeting with our client to finalize the Asks we had come up with and we now have narrowed our Asks down to 4. Although they didn’t choose the Asks we were really excited about, we still have some interesting ideas for the Asks that are finalized and perhaps we might put the rejected Asks in the appendix for future use. Our team met on Friday and Saturday and worked on the communication executions using the 8 Advertising patterns. A huge shout-out... Continue reading

Post our meeting with Drew a week back, he had suggested us to work on the communication strategy immediately but after a chat with the client, it was decided that we should let the client first confirm on the Asks we would work on. Currently, we still are working on the coming up with new Asks for India and China so that we have a good pool of them to present to the client. We have also scheduled a meeting with the client to explain our plan of action, to make sure they understand it and are on board with... Continue reading

Finally, our project feels like a Capstone! We got a lot of work done this past week. The week started with our project review with Drew on Tuesday. Having heard the issues of the client, our research and preliminary research, Drew asked us to limit the scope to India and China from the 4 different countries P&G wanted us to tap into. Since the team members are from India and China, it made the whole project more relatable and such that each member is able to contribute more from their own experience. We made two decisions during our project review... Continue reading

We had our much awaited client meeting on last Tuesday, and we finally got an idea of what we are supposed to do. Currently the client is losing out on sales because consumers are not aware of certain product offerings courtesy of their brand image. The task for us is to create awareness amongst the consumers at FMOT and shape the communication to change the perception of the brand. The client shared with us consumer data for different countries and it was interesting to read the findings, especially for those in China and India. Although I want to share these... I presumed I would write my blog after our meeting with P&G today morning, as I would have had new information to share but sadly that is not the case. Last week, we explained to Professor Boyd how things are moving rather slowly with our first project review. He being the unseen but always available fourth member of our team, sent an email to P&G asking them to speed up the project. The email seemed to work as we got our meeting setup for today but we received a last minute email from P&G this morning saying it has to... Continue reading

We didn’t do much in week 4 as we are waiting for our client to get back to us with the specifics of the project. It is very difficult to not be worried when you are 4 weeks into your capstone and you don’t have a project yet. We are still in the same place as we were when I wrote my week 3 blog post; we are waiting for the team in Geneva to get back to us with a possible meeting time. Although, we have had two client meetings, the meeting with the Geneva team would be the... Continue reading

We are into week 4 and we are yet to finalize on the scope of our project. We have however made some progress and the client is positive that our project would revolve around changing perception of a brand/product and also work on developing product packaging design ideas using SIT. The client is also positive that we would be able to have a clearer picture of the project by the end of this week and I am really hoping that is the case. The meeting we were supposed to have with Heather (BFO P&G FemCare) last week was canceled because... Continue reading

After having met the client on Tuesday, I can say I am really excited about the project. We met Jordan, who acts as the ‘Consumer Market Knowledge’ across categories at P&G. She was really helpful and patient enough to spend considerable time answering all our questions. She gave us a broader understanding of the category goals and the problems they face. We are slated to meet Heather, who is the BFO (those that plan for 3-5 years ahead) for P&G Fem-Care this week, and I can’t wait to get more in depth category knowledge from her. The problem that the... Continue reading

After the first capstone lecture last Monday, it was clear that we needed time to be our friend in this project and here we are a week later yet to have our first client meeting. As excited as I was about my capstone project, I must admit that now I’m a tad anxious as well. Our client P&G had workshops to attend all week and understandably couldn’t meet with us. The long memorial day weekend has also ensured a delayed meeting. We are finally scheduled to meet on 2nd of June, and hopefully we can kick start this project to... Continue reading
