Hi Timothy, like Mohl Anne, I also have a similar question... What about typos in authors' names? For example, often, I see articles published in English by French authors with missing hyphen between a composed first name such as Jean-David Something. The article lists his name as Jean David Something (no hyphen between Jean and David) but the references at the end of the article lists other papers from the same author as "Something, J.-D." which would be the correct way. In my reference list, should I add the hyphen because I know it should be there or list it without and make it look like it is a different author? Also, while at it, I notice that often, online databases do show the middle initial but the article does not (or vice versa). The article has precedence over the database, right?
