Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful December Break! We have had a fantastic first week back! Hi Parents, We have one final day of testing! The kids are handling the testing schedule well and we are still managing to get some excellent learning in! Check out below to see what we've the last few weeks. Phonics/Grammar: We have learned about common, proper, concrete and abstract nouns. We reviewed the importance and the reason for capitalizing proper nouns and showed off our mastery of these skills by writing long and strong in our writing journals. 01/14/2019 Phonics/Grammar: We are starting our unit on adjectives! We will be working with adjectives this week that tell what kind, which one, how many and how much. We will practice forming comparative and superlative adjectives next week. Reading: We began an author study on Patricia Polacco. We read some of her books last week: Thunder Cake, When Lightning Comes in a Jar , and Chicken Sunday. Good evening parents! I hope that everyone had a relaxing weekend! Check out the information below to see what we have been learning in class! Reading: We are reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown and have completed our very first S.T.E.M. project to go along with the book. We found supplies from the environment and around our classroom to help us imagine, plan out, create and improve upon camouflaging our main character, Roz, into one of three surroundings.
