Hi Class! I hope that everyone had another successful week! Our group has been pretty busy. On Monday we all got the read our pitches to each other and that really helped our group out a lot. We got some constructive feedback from Dianne and are eager to make those adjustments! After our pitch we had another check-up meeting with Tyler. We went over all of the topic that we have in our outline. He was also helpful in giving us advice on how to bring up some of the more controversial topics. Moving forward, we have divided up all... Hello Everyone! This was a good week for our group. We are officially done with interviews and have moved on to better analyzing and organizing our data. We also broke our paper up into sections and we all have our portions of the outline completed. Next, we are going to start formatting it into a rough draft. We still feel on track to complete our project by our final presentation date, April 22. We only have 15 days left but have made steady progress throughout this whole semester. The only schedule issue that could be a conflict is people traveling... Continue reading

Hi Class! This was another productive week for our group. We have completely finished all of our interviews! We all feel great about the response level from YPO and are confident that we will have great insights and recommendations for our final presentation. During spring break, we divided up all of the interviews and transcribed them. We also put the data into an “insight” excel file so that we can easily see patterns and trends. We also had our call with Dianne. She seemed impressed and satisfied with our work which was great to hear! She also gave us some... Continue reading

Hello Class! I hope that everyone had a fantastic spring break. Hopefully everyone enjoyed a break from classes and some sunshine too! I was out of the state for the past week, but while I was gone my group members finished the remaining interviews! I am so relieved that the interviewing part of the project is over. It was very time consuming, but I believe that the in-person interviews were a great choice for us. I feel that it allowed the YPO members to open up more and feel comfortable with us. It was also helpful to see their body... Continue reading

Hello Everyone! Hope everyone’s projects are going great. Spring break starts at the end of this week, so we got almost all of our interviews completed! We have 1 or 2 that could not interview before spring break so some of my group members are interviewing them next week. It has been a pleasure meeting so many members of this organization. This project has exposed us to a lot of interesting companies and offices! We will be meeting as a team to divide up how we are going to tackle the data analysis portion of this project. We have a... HI Everyone! This past week was our second last week before spring break, so we really have been crunching out those final interviews. Last I checked we had 24 completed interviews, and we should have over 30 completed by the end of this week. We are extremely proud of this since the minimum amount we needed was only 20. The members from have been highly responsive which has also helped a lot. We have one more hectic week of interviews. I am personally scheduled to attend 6 this week. This past Monday, we met as a group for an hour... Continue reading

Hi Everyone, We completed the minimum of twenty interviews that our client wanted us to achieve. We are now onto a secondary list that will allow us to gather more data and more insights. This week consisted of more interviews. We have also been uploading the recordings to a google drive that also has them transcribed. Tomorrow we are meeting as a group for an hour to make a plan for the coming week on how to begin analyzing all of the data. Our client, Tyler, will meet up with us about an hour after for another check-in with him... Continue reading

Hi class! This week consisted of carrying out more interviews for my group. We have already completed 18 interviews, which is two away from the minimum that our client wanted us to complete. Since we have completed so many in a short amount of time, we are working to get an additional contact list from our client that will allow us to interview more people and therefore collect more data for our project. We also have four interviews schedules, and one other person we are currently setting up a time with. We have a short list of people who haven’t... Continue reading

Hi Class! This was another good, but repetitive week for my group. We continued interviewing YPO members. I was supposed to attend three interviews on Friday, however we ended up running into some issues. Our first interview was cut short because the CEO was unaware that the interview was confirmed. He did not want to reschedule, so we had to condense the interview into 15 minutes. Our second interview went great. Our third interview did not even happen because the CEO was not in the office that day. In total our group completed 5 interviews this week. The interviews are... Continue reading

Hi Class! This week was great for my group. We finally started actually interviewing some members of YPO! I personally went on two interviews with Kate and they were both great experiences. We had the chance to meet presidents from two completely different businesses and two very different personalities. On president was from a technology company called Finit Solutions, and the other president was from a real estate company called Capitol Investment Group. They were extremely easy to talk to, and the first interview even lasted about 20 minutes longer than expected. I was a little nervous going into the... Continue reading

Happy February! This blog post is pretty similar to last week’s post for my group, except we finally got the ball rolling a little bit. Our group meetings have been great and very progressive. However, we haven’t been able to make much progress thus far because we were not able to begin interviews (we did not have the interview list). We worked on and finalized our charter this week and sent it to our POC, Tyler, for approval and opinions. Along with working on the charter, this week, I also started gathering information about YPO’s main competitors. My initial reaction... Continue reading

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone’s semester is going well! I am really excited about my team’s project, which is with the Cincinnati chapter of YPO. YPO is an organization for Presidents and Chief Executives that allows them to communicate with one another and grow. YPO hosts professional events, seminars, and even social outings. They currently have over 27,000 members in more than 130 countries. The chapter that we will be dealing with has around 70-80 members. We will be meeting with and interviewing current members that will help us accomplish our goal of understanding the engagement level and opinions... Continue reading
