Great essay Fitz! I loved how you provided great points about the importance of journaling. What I thought was even more powerful was how journaling has played a role and your life. One of the best aspects of your writing was your conclusions of your paragraphs which I personally loved especially your second to last paragraphs conclusion. Well done!

Sam you had a great humorous opening which is great. I liked how you said a community can be a lot of things like it can “be a fellowship, like a group of friends.” Your piece was very powerful and expressed its ideas with detail that brought me personally into your writing. Well done Sam this was a pleasure to read!

Well done Elliot, I can tell you worked very hard on this. This piece was very relatable and i too last year wished I had realized like you had said in your writing that I can have fun with everyone. I really liked how you summed up your piece with a heartfelt conclusion about the ninth grade and how the coming year will be a great year! This was a pleasure to read great job!
Well written finely! This piece was very relatable and could keep your attention at all times. I really liked how you said that “there is a place that everyone has that they have a lot of really good memories from” and I completely agree. This piece made me think about some of my experiences which I thought was a great aspect of your writing style in this piece. Great job creating the essence of community, the power of place, and the value of stewardship into a beautifully crafted journal entry!
