Happy birthday to blogger extraordinaire, Lainey, who celebrates her XXX (<- insert number here) birthday today! She received a good birthday singing and splashing from the crowd before yelling 'Lets Go!' and racing back for tea! We were a bit worried about the supposed cold change that was due to... They say when something is too good to be true then it usually is. (Just ask Champs and his recent online dating experience!) The only exception to this rule is the little piece of paradise that B&Bers flock to 365 days a year to get their daily dose of medicine!... Continue reading

It's not every day you see a frenzy of grey nurse rockin' it at The Steyne but on this very special night of the B &B Xmas in July, on the first week anniversary to the day of 'the unmentionable event' they were spotted moving in sync and offering an... Continue reading

Thanks Rog! The pillow actually said Martini :-)
Thanks Robyn. Sorry your green didn't quite qualify for the photo today! Next time! :-)
Thanks Anne :-)
Way too soon after the election Inge!! :-)
Michelle hadn't made her formal diagnosis at the time but yes, most likely piles! :-)
Thanks Lainey! Can't believe I forgot about adding 'no wine and alcohol!'! That was the killer for me! Have a fantastic trip! xx
Some B&Bers are naturally connected. They don't need an 'everyone wear green today' email! This is living proof. Even the keep cups were green! Luckily the raisin toast wasn't! But the morning didn't start out all green! There were lovely hues of yellows, pinks and orange too! This is the... Continue reading

As the weather man talked up the wind chill factor & significant drop in temps for the week, it didn't deter B&B swimmers and just as well! Despite a bit of a swell and a little less clarity, it was another beautiful morning of chats, milestones and sunshine! "What milestones"... Continue reading

Bees and BnBers have much in common. First and foremost, the world is in dire straits without us. We must be cared for and preserved. BnBers do a good job caring for eachother. Bees need a little more help but we are onto it. Secondly, we start with a B;... Continue reading

A very happy birthday to the lovely Sarah, who celebrated her 29th birthday today. As we all know, there are no numbers beyond 29. Sarah started the day tackling the swell and dramatically different conditions from yesterday but nonetheless, come out beaming! May the rest of your day continue the... Continue reading

Just as the sun completes its morning ritual of bursting into the sky, so too do we complete ours which set us up for the day. Whether that be getting out on the same side of the bed each morning, (unless you've had a rough night's sleep and find yourself... Continue reading

The morning got off to a great start when David Champion announced to the pink caps entering the water on the dot of 7am, that Janet 'was really easy to pick up'. We all fell about laughing while David, with an armful of Janet, considered his remark momentarily and Janet,... Continue reading

While this beautiful sunrise photo (photo credit Jac Shell) doesn't truly highlight the strong current and pumping waves this morning, the notorious nor-easterly provided challenging conditions again today as management warned to swim within limits and start from Shelly if any concerns. Listening intently to instructions some headed to Shelly,... Continue reading

It was a drizzly start to the morning, traffic was slow and there was an air of 'lets just stay tucked up in bed' lingering! Apart from cars, very few people were out and about! Approaching the beach was quiet too and it felt like no-one was there for our... Continue reading

Is that why you weren't there this morning Sue! I was wondering why I hadn't seen you for a couple of days. Get yourself better asap! Salt water is good for ear aches I hear 😆 😆
I don't think any of the 6.30s came across the blueys Russell which was the reason why it was all a bit of a shock for the 7am swimmers! They seemed to come out of nowhere!
We think you need to move here permanently, Mel and join our waterpolo team! That jump was seriously awesome! So glad you have been able to squeeze in some swims with B&B during your holiday!
Thanks to you and your ouch & nettle cream Anne, the colourful language was short-lived luckily!!
Thanks Edwina. Still need a lot of work! :-) As for the blueys - not happy.
Yes it was gorgeous Elizabeth - except of course for the last part coming back into Manly!
Thanks Shaun! Glad you liked it. Yes JK sure doe look like a ghost! So does Julie the new swimmer and just cos of a bit of water on lens!
On what were otherwise perfect conditions, today's swim (and Jac Shell) had a stinging end. This team of extraordinarily brave swimmers show off their welts which were inflicted, oh so close to home! Heading around the point into a barrage of waiting blues, there was nothing we could do but... Continue reading
