Blog post #12 Hi all, I can’t believe how this semester has flown by, and this is my last blog post, this semester has left me very stressed going through ups and downs throughout this semester but I must say that I have learned a lot about my weaknesses and strengths, I learned about things that need to be improved and others that made feel very confident, I am not nervous on how I’ll be performing for this course. My project was very interesting, and my client professor Hardin was very understanding and compassionate. This project was both interesting yet... Continue reading

Hello, With a few weeks left till the end of Capstone course, I have been working on a draft for my PowerPoint presentation and wrapping up the final paper, it’s been a very stressful semester for but an eye opening semester, I’ve learned a lot how to manage my time and go through a few struggles of mine with a lot of support from my professors and fellows classmates. The Qualtrics survey wasn’t as successful as I wanted it to be my target were 60 and I got 10 responses only however I’m still working on putting everything together for... Continue reading

It was hard to balance school ,other activities and things going on in my life in the previous weeks but with time management ,a little patience and a lot of support from Professor Hardin, I have been able to take one step at a time and learn a lot of lessons and accomplished a lot of work throughout this month, even though I haven’t been meeting enough with my client however... Blog post #8 Classmate, Happy Spring break everyone! Our last staff meeting with our GA went well and we finally have a clear picture of whom our direct competitors are after weeks of changing, updating and questioning. I feel confident enough now to continue with the project. I am getting ready and prepared for our post spring break activities to do that include our second round of project review meetings with Professor Dianne and of course our pitch statements for our project that will help synthesize our work and current progress, a little nervous on how to sum up the... Bog Post 7 Hi Classmates, I am delighted to share that our landscape assessment and list of direct competitors is finalized after a few mix-ups last week with the help of professor Dianne as our mentor and Client. When I started this class I wasn’t sure what dream catalogue was till I have taken innovation class with professor Boyd and can finally implement it and have it added to my capstone repost, I have been working well and starting on my dream catalogue after I have learned so much about it in two weeks with professor Boyd However, after working... Hi class! My capstone project is going well and according to plan. Nothing much has changed or added to the agenda, however I’ve just recently attended my innovation class and was thinking of adding the dream catalogue to the final report and to the modules so I might make a few changes to my plan, I know it might sound like a bad idea to do it half way through but change is always good. I have learned a lot in one day with Dr. Drew Boyd and have seen a lot of things that could be applied to the... Continue reading

Blog Post#5. Hi classmates, I’ve just had my project review brief thirty minutes meeting with my client professor Dianne Hardin, I have received a few tips and hints on some issues I’ve been facing with the project. The meeting was very helpful and has given me guidance on where I’m heading at the moment and has given me more clarity on the project even though sometimes you get ambiguous moments and doubtful thoughts about your current work and progress. I’m glad that the past week has been more productive and progressive than the last week, I’m able to cross off... Continue reading

Blog Post#4 Hi class! Hope your project is going well, I’m happy that things are finally going smoothly for improving the MS MKTG project and going according to my millstone, I’m learning a lot about UC and the Marketing Department and have been receiving a lot of support and help from my fellow GA team! With some challenges, ambiguities and uncertainties, I was feeling a little overwhelmed and stressed last week on how the project will go and whether I’ll be able to make it ALIVE to the client project review. After all the hard work and meetings, I had... Continue reading

Blog Post#3 Hello fellow capstone classmates! Hope all is well, and everyone’s project is going smoothly. I was feeling overwhelmed as well just like Heather and very stressed about the capstone, it is both interesting and rewarding to be working on a project that involves UC and the Marketing department, but I feel it’s a huge responsibility to handle, as it involves later on a meeting with board members to present our case and key findings and insights. With professor Drew as my mentor and professor Dianne my Client and faculty advisor for this project, it makes me anxious about... Continue reading

Hello Fellow capstone classmates! This is Blog post #2 Hope everyone is surviving the past few weeks with the first initial client- consultant meeting. I must admit that it has been tough on me and going a little slower than usual; it does require a lot of patience, determination and persistent dedication. The client- consultant feedback is very important in trying to figure out a middle ground between the project’s requirements to complete all modules mentioned in the charter and the client’s requests in order to meet the deadline set and have a well strategic plan to accomplish all the...
