Hey guys, Last blog post!! I can't believe this is it, time went by quickly! Another week with our group being very productive! We present our insights and recommendations to our client next Monday and have our powerpoint ready to go! We will meet as a group to discuss how we are going to actually present and to go over the slides and add any finishing touches. After we wrap that up we will get started on our final report that we have already been rough drafting throughout the week. Continue reading

Hey guys, This week was very productive for our group. We broke up our insights and each member came up with detailed notes from each interview related to their specific insights. We met as a group on Monday to make sure that everyone was on the same page and agreed with everyones insights and notes and agreed to start writing the paper for our project. Once we get done with the paper and put all of our insights together we will work on a powerpoint to present to our client. We meet with our client tomorrow for the last time... Continue reading

Hey guys, As we finish up another week we get another week closer to our final presentation with YPO. This week our group was very productive and we were able to break down a lot of data. Over the week of spring break we divided up about 40 interviews and transcribed them all and took very detailed notes one each. After we transcribed each interview we came up with insights that we gained from each interview that could possibly be useful during our final presentation. To conclude the week we finished our first rough draft outline of insights that we... Continue reading

We are now entering out final stage in putting all of the data together to analyze and help provide insights for our final project. We meet with our client later this week to make sure we are all on the same page. Hey guys, Entering our last week of interviews we will have 41 finished by the time we come back from spring break. THis is extremely exciting because originally we were worried about being able to conduct 20-30. Our client is not only impressed with the speed we are working at but also with the quality of the work. Throughout the interview process we have had one person ask questions and record the interview and the other take notes on their laptop and come up with possible insights. This has helped us tremendously by allowing us to already have a base... Continue reading

Hey guys, Last week our group finished all of the initial interviews our client had sent to us. We reached out to our client and requested an additional list to go above and beyond their expectations. So far our client is very satisfied with the pace we are working at and the quality of our work. In the coming weeks we plan on finishing our last interviews before spring break so that when we come back we can concentrate on breaking down the data and establishing insights for out client. Tonight we meet with our client to discuss a plan,... Continue reading

Hey guys, I hope everyone is enjoying their capstone so far! I think one of the best things about this class is the real work experience you recieve. Coming from someone who has no professional work experience, my capstone has allowed me to see what my future holds. Another great take away I love about this class is the networking ability. Taking capstone at the end of your degree allows you to go out and network right before you graduate and start searching for jobs. I hope everyone isn't totally consumed by the amount of work that this course demands... Continue reading

Week 4, As we conclude our groups 4th week we have made a lot of progress. This project has really started to grow on me as I mentioned at the end of week three. We conducted 5 more interviews this week and each one is getting easier and easier. Being able to sit in front of CEO's of successful companies in any format is very rare. This experience is preparing me for future job interviews and is helping me network. Back to the actual project... Our group is heading into our third week of interviewing where we have 7 interviews... Continue reading

Hey guys, This week was very busy and productive for my group. We met with our client, and got a list of 30 people to start interviewing. On top of that, we scheduled 7 interviews and completed all of them this week and already have another 10 set up for next week. Everything is moving quickly and efficiently. Our group is working really well together and it looks like we will actually be able to complete more interviews than expected, when in the beginning we were worried about not even being able to complete the bare minimum. The first interview... Continue reading

We are finally starting to dive into our project. We sent out our first 10 emails and have gotten 7 responses in less than 3 days. In addition to that, we have been able to set up 7 interviews and are way ahead of schedule. We met with our client this week to discuss deliverables and what a successful project means. To our client a successful project is one that provides insights to the organization to help benefit the company by providing direct insights from the data collected throughout the semester. That being said, I would strongly recommend to students... Continue reading

Hey Everyone, Hard to believe that we are heading into our third week! I feel like things are about to get going here shortly and take off for the rest of the semester. Our group has been in touch with our client trying to figure out the most efficient way to approach the task at hand. We have started off on the right page and have built a good relationship, and let me tell you it helps a lot! To every one else who is beginning this class and is in the panic phase... RELAX! Establishing a good relationship with... Continue reading
