Hello everyone! I can’t believe Heather and I submitted our final report paper today! It is crazy to thing that we are finally done with this project. We have learned a lot about the CPG industry and marketing in general. At times, it was hard to work with our client Olga, but the experience was amazing overall! I am glad I took the time to find a project that would align with my career goals in the beginning of the semester. I feel a lot more prepared now to graduate and start working. Heather was also a great partner, and... Continue reading

Hello! Heather and I’s project has been getting to an end. We’ve closed our Qualtrics survey last Friday, and have been working on our analysis. Because our client is planning on using our results and visualizations for an industry white paper, we’ve been doing our best to get as many insights as we can and make the information simple for anyone to understand. Just by looking at our report and pattern in responses, we’re able to validate once again the market need for a marketing analytics software. We’re also able to identify key information that could be useful for the... Continue reading

Hello, everyone! This past week has been very productive! Our client told us we’ll be working with Nielsen to finish the survey outline and distribute the survey. Also, they’ll be involved in the creation of an industry white paper with all the information we’ve gathered from the interview process, and will gather from analyzing the survey responses. Heather and I are very excited to work with them and learn as much as we can. Our client wanted us to work with Google Forms, but some of the things she wanted to do are not available in Google Forms. During our... Continue reading

Hello, everyone! After revising my last blog post, I’m glad to say I’m feeling confident about our project and deliverables. As I previously mentioned, meeting Professor Hardin was very helpful, and Heather and I have been working on our final report based on the feedback we’ve got. We’ve been using some templates from the Design 101 book to give our report more structure and to help us lay out all the research we’ve done over the semester in an organized manner. We’ve had a meeting with our client on Friday morning, and we’ve finalized the survey outline and have all... Continue reading

Good morning! Heather and I just had a meeting with our client. We’re still working on developing our survey. After our meeting last week, we made changes to the survey outline and emailed our client about it. We expected her to go through everything before our meeting today, so we could finalize the outline and distribute the survey as soon as possible. However, that did not happen. She didn’t give us any feedback or changed anything in the survey outline document we created before today. That was very frustrating to us because we had a meeting scheduled last Friday, and... Hello, everyone! Heather and I have been working on creating a survey outline and thinking about questions. As I mentioned previously, our client wants us to use Google Forms instead of Qualtrics. We’ve been playing around with it to start getting familiar with the tool, and think about different things to do. We’ve noticed that we’ll not be able to use some techniques we’re used to executing in Qualtrics, which is a bit disappointing. During our last meeting with our client, she asked us to start building out the survey and think about questions to ask. However, this morning during... Continue reading

Good morning! Not much has changed from the past week. Heather and I are still working on conducting all the interviews we have scheduled. We should be done with all of them by this Friday, and we are hoping to distribute a survey right after. Combining our clients’ contacts and ours we’ll be able to reach a lot of professionals in the Consumer Packaged Goods & Consumer Electronics industries. Overall, we are doing 12 interviews. We have 5 left that will be conducted this week, but we already see patterns in some of the interviewees’ answers and clear issues concerning... Continue reading

Hello everyone! I was just reading my blog post from last week, and thinking about how Heather and I were able to overcome some challenges. We were frustrated with our client, and did not think we would get enough interviewees to proceed with our project. Our client demanded a lot of contacts, and even though we were not able to get as many as she wanted, we were able to schedule enough interviews. It was hard scheduling interviews because it had to fit the interviewees’ schedule and ours as well. We’ve been conducting our interviews in rooms we book at... Continue reading

Hello everyone! Heather and I continue to work hard, getting the deliverables done. We are at a point in our project where we need to recruit professionals for interviews and prepare our script to make sure we gather all the information we need. This has been very challenging for us! We created a list of contacts in order to control whether we have reached out to each person, if they have answered, and are willing or not to do an interview with us. It felt like the number of contacts we had gathered was enough, but after talking to our... Continue reading
