Those 129 Repubs who signed the Dem "resolution" must be having a rough day. Is it too late for Steven Bannon to see to it that they're all primaried?

And another brutal poll, this time from Gallup.. Fully armed with all extant dire info, including the results of this poll, the betting odds of Trump's reelection has actually improved slightly over the last couple of days. He remains the clear favorite.

Me three, Tom R and Jane. Just like he knew what he was doing in 2016 when he campaigned in Wisconsin and Michigan, Trump knows what he's doing now with his attention to states like Minnesota - he wants to turn even more of the map red this time, and he constantly wins converts with his winning policies.

Nationals are going to be mighty rested by Tuesday. Yanks or Astros, less so - potentially much less so.
*A* mid-day opening
Egads, MeAgain Kelly is going to be on Tucker's show tonight. Just when there's suddenly an mid-day opening at Fox available...
So if Nancy and the rest of the crazy Democrats.. That's the point where the networks would all return to their regularly scheduled programming, already in progress.
MM, I saw Scott Hapgood's wife on Fox this morning, she flat-out said "Trump does a lot for citizens overseas who have a problem, I'm asking him to help". It's pretty remarkable that people have a direct route to the President like that, and that there's actually a President in office who cares.

CH, I have to think that if anyone can get the GOP to actually stand for something again, it will be Trump. So I'm hopeful. JohnH, that's a good point; we took in quite a few plants in pots recently due to the squirrels rooting around in them - now I'm wishing I'd looked at them a bit closer in the process.

Captain, Paul Ryan cemented his reputation as a do-nothing once Trump was elected. If Trump had had a better bead on what he was walking into, he'd have told Ryan the day after election day that he wanted to see a new health plan and a border wall/DACA proposal waiting on his desk on inauguration day. We can only hope that Trump's second term will be working with a congress less steeped in BS.

Another interesting article from a doctrinaire leftist who nevertheless realizes how harmful impeachment would be for the country. Matt Taibbi proves that even leftists can occasionally spot the difference between right and wrong. https://taibbi.substack.com/p/were-in-a-permanent-coup

Fox plans to have a set of rotating anchors host his time slot. I mean, I know Fox dresses the women anchors up sort of oddly and all...but asking hosts to spin around while doing the news seems too much.

If Shep was fired, I wouldn't be surprised if it's because his recent feud with Tucker never really abated. No way Shep was going to win that one.

Just looking at the net, it looks like people were suggesting Ciaramella at least three days ago - all I can say is, dammit, another Italian-American ::hangs head in shame::

If Shep was fired for gossiping about his affair with Judge Napolitano, who quits in shame, then I'll be satisfied.

Petty or not, Mr. Ignatz, I'll bet Trump tears into this mayor tonight, and gets wild cheers for doing so. The mayor, meanwhile, will be sulking in his rec room, refusing to watch the rally on TV. That's pretty sweet stuff!

Are we absolutely certain someone didn't kidnap TM and this is his version of blinking an SOS to us? I think Trump, through his performance, should have earned at least some amount of trust from most people who are generally Republican but who felt uneasy about him. And, indeed, he's got about 90% approval from Republicans (and 40% of independents). TM seems not to be among this group, which makes sense if you look at his backing of a very, very liberal big-gubmint idea to grab citizen assets via an unrealized gain tax.

I've been immensely enjoying reading the Washington Post this morning, truly excellent coverage of...the Nats! Oh my goodness, that 10th inning grand slam last night was something else.

Damage to our reputation & national interest will be extraordinary & long lasting. This happens because 50 soldiers were removed? BS - people should just let POTUS exercise his foreign policy powers and stfu. The "extraordinary" peril we're supposedly in for playing hall monitor in one less place on the planet resembles the hyperbole from climate alarmists. Neocons are their own kind of alarmists.

If Chuck Todd was a leak recipient, can Trump issue an executive order to have Todd hung in the town sqaure?

My position is that fairies are complete nonsense.. What, no fairies? Get ready for a firestorm of pushback on your controversial stance. People who take the hallucinogen DMT often converse with "machine elves", fwiw.

That’s one reason wife is already collecting hers, and that I’ll turn mine in at the earliest possible date. You've got to take it asap unless you know you'll live past 80 (I think that's when someone who waited until full retirement age eclipses the 62-year-old recipient in terms of total money received). And then, of course, it's even past 80 if the early retiree invested some or all of what they got those first few years.
