it was amusing to witness our resident 4D Dude get fed into a wood chipper today. hazard of the trade i guess. i must admit: this is gettin good, almost worth goin downtown for. :D PS: also must admit Rhona Mitra was so much spicier in her Chicks with Guns role (Strike Back) than her Loya in Stilletos role (Boston Legal). Mrs. Kid was okay with me confessing undying lust for Rhona as we binged Strike Back. chingao baby!
The attempted takedown of a sitting US president will have far reaching effects for decades to come. However, i'd be a fool to concede that The Rat and Hildo will get off scot-free for their crimes. They might not rot in a cell. But they will be charged, prosecuted and convicted PUBLICLY because the wheels of justice will grind until there is no more grist. Prediction: Both get convicted. Their sentences commuted. Their ill-gotten gains confiscated. No libraries. No public life. People without a country. But no jail time. And that will be Trump's mercy as he leaves office for better things. One man's opinion. :D
Sherman's quote re "reporters" seems appropo re the NYT: something to the effect that if all the reporters (during the civil war) were rubbed out, there'd be news from hell before breakfast. the NYT is a fetid streaming bog.
i can only imagine the tedium the inevitable "i was right and you were wrong" titty tat will produce--- when/however the levee breaks due to Barr's bulldozing. oy.
Ides of March ... they were a one-hit knock off of Blood Sweat and Tears, according to my teenage taste. dint like BS&T either. Rare Earth was another doofus band. Tower of Power horns were outplaying everybody during that era.
Thanks for the feedback, JMH. :D The Carlson article re history and how it will view Rosenstein.... he was disingenuous at best with the title. Carlson appears to be writing a prelude to the ultimate view in the middle of the maelstrom. Rosenstein's departure under positive "sleuthing" will look rather tiny in the rear view mirror of 2020. It's damned near June with 2019 slipping from the grasp of counterattack efforts, summer coming and all. Basically, i see it as there being but 1 final quarter left in 2019. Rosenstein will be diced and minced into interpretive bits for popular consumption. But IDGAS. Should the "institution of the DOJ" remain to be some tweaked makeover due to "mistakes" being made, and all that gibberish James Baker was spouting, Rosenstein and Mueller will bear some measure of culpability. The makeover will be our loss, no matter how many perp walks we get to enjoy. A flaccid Congress and a rabidinous "resistance" will be deterrents to putting Humpty Dumpty back together again. in the meantime, Hezbollah and HAMAS are pouring over our southern border. the Russian smoke screen investigation= deck chairs on the Titanic.

re Rosenstein.... too much of the sewage rose to knee level on his watch. i remain skeptical that he was some deep cover play against the Deep State. Sundance (yes, i know he is shit in the eyes of the mega sleuths out there) summarized this best: "There are no “good guys” in this. There are no “white hats” here. Certainly not Mueller, Rosenstein, Wray, Bowditch or Boente. Instead, this is a matrix of broad interests positioned only to benefit and sustain the status quo of the administrative state; and protect the larger community from the Trump disruption. In the end it all comes back to the same series of questions. Who was recommending to President Trump that he retain and promote DOJ and FBI officials who were part of the anti-Trump Russia collusion-conspiracy program? Someone who knew the system but would still be vulnerable to peer influence. Someone who would take counsel and advice on who was needed and where. Someone in a position of influence with President Trump. Someone who could steer these placements from a position of advisement close to the President. [It sounds like Don McGahn] Appointing Rod Rosenstein as DAG was one of those key placements. Appointing DC U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu was another. ♦From Rosenstein we get: Mueller, Chris Wray, David Bowditch and Dana Boente. ♦Meanwhile Jessie Liu quashed cases against: Awan bros, James Wolfe, Greg Craig and quite possibly Andrew McCabe. Chris Wray and Dana Boente then began providing cover… FUBAR" https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/05/12/president-trump-calls-out-fbi-director-christopher-wray-the-director-is-protecting-the-coup-gang/#comments

Is he smarter than a ball hair? https://nypost.com/2019/05/07/de-blasio-rolls-out-health-care-plan-for-illegal-immigrants/ "Illegal immigrants living in the Bronx will be able to get a “care card” entitling them to free health coverage from the city starting in August, the mayor announced Tuesday. “You will hear some critics who say we can’t afford to give everyone healthcare,” de Blasio said at a Lincoln Hospital press conference. “I have a simple answer. It’s not a problem of money from my point of view. There’s plenty of money in this world, there’s plenty of money in this country, it’s just in the wrong hands,” de Blasio said."

JP Stevens: ""there's no need for all the guns we have in the country and if I could get rid of one thing it would be to get rid of that whole gun climate." and the melting polar ice caps and sea level changes are PROOF that conservative justices should change their minds on "gun climate." has he gone soft in the noodle?

My closing re plant-based "scams"---- "to each his own. and may each be closer to the truth than the USDA and all of its bogus certifications of taxpayer subsidized "foods." Melinda: "The underlying article cites using the levers of government to achieve the glory of the plant based diet for humongous profits for the enlightened few." like i said.

re "plant-based diet scams".... to each their own. one size fits all nutritional plans have had disastrous effects on the lives of millions. no one can prove shit conclusively about the perils of eating a typical industrial diet---- but there are plenty of findings re the incursion of industrial processed meat and carbohydrates on world health which suggest *SOME* eaters might re-assess their relationship with both as staples for consumption. there are scammers feeding CLASS D grade beef to fast food consumers and chemically saturated steaks to Golden Corral and Outback diners. there are Chinese-based manufacturers of "plant-based protein" supplements and powders made from shit. in short, the food industry is a total scam. and inciting one group of eaters to resent another group of eaters, one group of "producers" to vilify another group---- well, that's one of the oldest tricks in the political playbook. plant-based nutrition saved my life. case by case evidence is the only salvation from arm-chair quarterbacking over what works and what doesn't. to each his own. and may each be closer to the truth than the USDA and all of its bogus certifications of taxpayer subsidized "foods."

Putey never regained his high self-regard after Dr. Jack Wheeler beat him arm wrestling twice in a row. That was during Putey's KGB days workin security for Head Splat's negotiations delegation during the Reagan era. Simpler times.
