Robin. Ukraine is probably one of many countries where the financial aid was hived off to support Dems and friends.

Re the millions from Ukraine. What if Most of the money was being funneled into Dem and friends slush funds.

MM. Re every foreign intelligence service knew within 24 hours that the Russia collusion claim was false. Remember when Obama went before the UN general assembly two weeks after the attacks in Benghazi and pushed “The video was the reason.” How many of the international intelligence agencies knew what he said was false with two weeks of checking?

Melinda, the Senate Intel committee is bi-partisan only in the sense that Senator Burr, the Republican chair, normally works at the direction of Senator Warner, the Democrat ranking member.

During the latest round of speakers someone made the point that although aid was put on hold, this did not effect the material being supplied via Foreign Military Sales (FMS), the normal channel for providing military aid to friends of the USA. I am surprised that Republicans on the committee do not state this at the start of every question.

Hi everyone. Re the intelligence whistleblower form - I would like to know what was involved in amending the whistleblower form to allow the use of hearsay evidence, and who signed off on it? Do the lawyers here know what the general whistleblower statute says?

Narciso 79. The drone cost between $114 - 214 million, depending upon who you read. A little expensive for a disposable probe.

Why is the border wall stupid? The only way to keep people out is with a physical barrier.

Found at Real Clear Defense: "Navy's Newest LCS Smacks Into Moored Ship In Canada Joseph Trevithick, War Zone... The incident reportedly occurred on June 24, 2019, after two tugs assisting the future Billings in Montreal harbor cast off their two lines. For still unknown reasons, the LCS lost control and smacked up against the side of the Rosaire Desgagnes, a bulk cargo ship, which was moored nearby, according to First Coast News. Found at Instapundit: "THIS IS BIG: Erdogan Dealt Stunning Blow as Istanbul Elects Rival Candidate: Opposition gets more votes than Erdogan ever did in Istanbul. “Losing Istanbul is much more than ceding control of Turkey’s largest city and commercial powerhouse. The mayor’s job was the springboard for Erdogan’s own political career, and if Imamoglu, 49, performs well in the position, then the president may find himself with a future challenger. . . . Defeat in Istanbul, home to about a fifth of Turkey’s 82 million people, also strips Erdogan’s party of a major source of patronage and handouts. By some estimates, the city absorbs a quarter of all public investment and accounts for a third of the country’s $748 billion economy. Istanbul erupted in celebration over the first opposition victory since Erdogan came to power 16 years ago. Major thoroughfares were packed with cars honking their horns, passengers hanging out of windows and waving Turkish flags through sunroofs.” https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-06-23/yildirim-concedes-istanbul-mayor-s-race-to-imamoglu

"- But let's be clear: Trump provoked this crisis.- Yeah, and Churchill provoked Hitler by reversing Chamberlain's appeasement. Squaw heap big moron." I remember that someone commented negatively on the fact that Churchill wanted to be on the fleet on D-Day. It is easy to forget that Churchill, as prime minister, flew into France five times during May-June, 1940 to talk with the French government.

James, thanks for your response.
I read that the supply of US LNG to Europe will counter-balance the Russian natural gas pipelines. Surely the cost of shipping by ship would be more expensive than the pipeline?
The Dems will impeach Trump in the present congressional session. Then, after taking enough seats in the Senate, will convict him in the next session of Congress.
