Great job Justin! This is a phenomenal story and you did a great job telling it. It was very descriptive and intriguing. I liked how you had a paragraph about all of the thoughts that were running through your mind when you were stuck out in the ocean. I thought this was clever and effective. Great job!

Great job Aiden! I enjoyed reading this essay because you did a great job describing the event in detail. I can also relate to the story because I was very nervous to go on the aqua zipline at caribou, but after I did it, I was glad I did. I also liked the simile you used to describe your back. It painted a clear picture in my mind. Great job!

Great job Alexander. I truly enjoyed reading this story. I loved how detailed and descriptive your story was. I especially liked how you started your story with an image of a baseball game and then traveled back in time to nap time in school. I thought this was very clever and was an effective introduction. Great job!

Great job Jack! I loved reading this narrative story. You did a great job describing the day in depth. I especially liked the simile, “I felt as though I was soaring through the sky on a small, light, fluffy, cloud as I descended down the mountain.” I thought this was a great line and was effective. Great job!

Great job Parker! This was a powerful and thorough essay. You did a great job using facts to back up your points. I also wrote about college athletes getting paid and I used very similar reasons; however, I disagree and think that athletes should get paid salaries. Great essay!
Great job Justin! This was a well written and thorough essay. Like I have said before, I don’t agree with you that hockey is the hardest sport, but your essay definitely bumped it up on my list. You made great points and used facts to back it up. I really liked how you looked at the other side of the argument as well. Great job!

Great job Thomas! This was a great essay. Even though I don’t totally agree with you, I definitely see your side on why the police shouldn’t be defunded. I also liked how you had facts to support your ideas and then analyzed these facts. Great job!
Great job Alexander! This was a thorough and powerful essay. Before reading this essay, I was on the other side of this argument, but after reading your argument, I am no longer sure which side to choose. This essay was very persuasive and effective. You did a great job of using your own voice, but also incorporating some facts. Great job!

Great essay DJ! This was well written and extremely powerful. I liked how you used an example from talking with Ms. Hutchings about diversity in private schools. I thought this was a clever way to incorporate evidence in your essay. I also liked how you talked about both sides of the argument and why you don’t feel strongly attached to either side. Finally, I think your conclusion was very powerful and left me thinking.

Great job Pete! I liked how you wrote your essay on a skiing related topic. I think it made it better because something you care about and are interested in. I also liked how you used an example of a park member you knew that lived far away from the mountain he worked at. This was a good example of the issue and was powerful. Great job!

Great job Amir! While I don’t agree with your argument, I appreciate that you spent time researching your topic to better educate yourself and find quotes and facts. I also liked that you incorporate the word “benefit” throughout your essay because it hammered home your theme. I also though the conclusion was funny and effective.

Great job Thomas! I enjoyed reading your analysis and your reflection. I think you did a great job analyzing the poem and breaking it down. I also found it interesting to read about how and why you chose your poem and how it went. I like how you picked a great poem that you loved, not just one that you knew would be good for the assignment. Great job!

Great job Alexander! I enjoyed reading both your analysis and reflection. I thought your analysis did a great job of breaking down the pice of literature and figuring out the deeper meaning and purpose of the poem. I thought your reflection was also good because it allowed me to go through the experience with you and learn about how you chose your piece, how you practiced and how it went. Great job!
