More on your plate than a British Baking Show contestant. I hope you can persuade your mother to back away from Crazy Cousin, too.

The iris are too lovely. Good luck on yard work II.

I love pinks! Congratulations to Elder Daughter. How nice to begin a career.

This definitely is an American problem, and one we brought on ourselves. I'm glad you are no longer in a classroom. I wonder what little Digger Boy's parents will do when he's school age.

That crampon gear is scary. For dangerous bits of trail. Wonderful of you and John to ready the lawn.

Those long hours on a plane, over weather (!) are brutal. We once de-iced and de-iced and de-iced and the pilot said finally we were taking off and they were closing the air port behind us. I hope you do not contract the NY lurgy.

You can't really miss NYC! It seems the polar opposite of where you live.

Only 98 for a couple of days; nevertheless, days you're in NYC. I need to get a second booster before I do shows. I hate to be so sick from the shot.

As your first commenter said, I always set off the alarms, too. I do know it's due to all the metal in my body. It's good the flight was uneventful and the little face planter climbed into bed with you.

Not a downer, David Johnston excluded. Your brother was a handsome fellow, so was your ex. As for the jeep, I remember some frightening dirt bike rides.

Thank you for the tour. An easy home to love.

I had one of those pens for the longest time. When I had grandkids here, each was a different color for calendar events. Three kids plus me, one pen. Life was good.

When I lived in the trailer park, our mail delivery station became so decrepit after fifty or more years of use, the USPS put in a whole new one for us.

I am sorry about Susan's death. Way too young.

I attributed my difficult second pregnancy to O- blood, in the days before there was an antibody for it. I had a late brunch with her today. She just graduated with a master's degree and is a nurse practitioner who must pass an RN and NP exam to bring her licenses current. I smiled, thinking of her taking the nursing license test ten or more years ago. She was so worried. She had to get 99 questions right on the computerized test. When 99 were right, the exam turned off. Her computer shut down after she answered question 100. She's probably worried about the next two exams. I'm not.

Hello. A fellow blogger sent me here today. I needed inspiration and it has been given. We are a society. Thank you.

There's always Georgette Heyer. Or straight back to the horse's mouth, Jane Austen.

The orange and purple house is ugly. The boy is pretty darn cute, and I don't know what to say abut the brakes.

I (we) have much the same complaint about the medical system, but on a far lower level of expertise as yours. Or else I was flat on my back, hospitalized, and my sister or daughter were fielding the incoming. I'm glad the shunt is placed and hope the platelets materialize in future.

I've never enjoyed, or even liked football. The violence troubles me. And the words spreading off the field are just too much.

My second shot is far away; just had the first. Glad your mom's went so well, and glad you had enforced time for a chat.

BTW, Margaret, I clicked on the little guy for a better look at that happy smile, and the "enlarged" photo is not cropped. I've given up "wanting" anything; the rapacious relatives beat me to the spoils. My great grandmother's sister's nephews beat everyone else to the house and stripped it bare. It always works out that way. I hope your dad gets his port before the next treatment.
