10/10/10 today! International photo day. Grab the camera and record the day! This is my first shot of the day (it's bad) lol #togs #photography #history
You are very fortunate to have realized the value of your connection with your sister. I have seen other families that are not so fortunate.
Siblinghood
In order to show my appreciation for my sister, I have to start somewhere around 1985. That was the year I got married, she was my maid of honor and we officially reconciled. Before that, we spent a lot of time not talking and not getting along. Truth be told, I was a terrible older sister. Self...
so sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with your dogs. Have you tried going back to the beginning, so to speak. What I mean is have you tried going back to as if they were new pups that needed training, either by crating them (if you are a crate user which I am) or confining them to just one room or even just a play pen within the room. And then just let them out to go potty and then put them back in, basically starting all over. But since they are older they should catch on faster than pups.
I have had to do this a time or two when stress put one of my dogs off kilter and then the bad behavior seemed to escalate, until I went back to the beginning.
I hope you can find a solution that does not involve you having to give up your pets.
stupid dogs
gold dust Originally uploaded by KarenLynnni am very frustrated today. thinking about getting rid of (never thought those words would come out of my mouth) my three oldest shih tzus. they are peeing everywhere in the house :( they are untrainable as a pack. only the yorkie mix is 97% housebrok...

Flamingo
I have nothing to say!
Those inversion machines/tables can be very dangerous. So sorry to hear how sore you ended up I hope you continue to get better.
I love the flower that Something Else Too identified as a Rose of Sharon. I love the close up of it.

beautiful whatchamacallit My neighbor grows these, do you know what they are called? They remind me of hibiscus, but hibiscus would never winter here in Wisconsin so I'm just not sure. buds like jail cells cosmos I hurt my back on the inver...

Good-bye Vox
Well this is sad, and a bit of a surprise. Vox is closing down, and very quickly too. So we will have to move to another blogging service. The options I am considering are Wordpress, Typepad, or Dreamwidth. It seems most Vox people are going to Typepad so that will probably be it. Unfortunately...
Okay I tried to write a nice long comment telling you about all the ways that everyone is keeping up with all of their former Vox neighbors, not matter which platform they are on, but I had lots of trouble getting it to post. So I am starting over and I am just going to share the links that I was trying to explain in the previous attempt. if this work and you have any questions about the links just let me know.
okay it still will not let me add the links, so if you would like to know about all the different blog posts and group pages that are being created to help ex-voxers keep in touch, contact me. you can email me at country.cinderellas.blog{at]hotmail[dot)com

Goodbye old home (VOX), Hello new home (here?).
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Okay I think I am over the shock of the VOX demise, and have found ways to cope with all the changes. I created a blog on multiple different blog posting sites: Countrycinderella.typepad.com Countrycinderella.wordpress.com Countrycinderella.user.livecloud.com (just to name a few) I copy and pasted... memento mori
'tis a somber occasion, let's begin with an appropriate quote "Friends, Romans, Countrymen, I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him" VOX is done, over, finito, joined the choir invisible. starting to stink a little, to be frank. why this place mattered is that in a virtual world where ab...

There are some folks from vox trying out livecloud.com, they seem to like it because it has many privacy settings similar to Vox.
There are also many people choosing to go to wordpress. It does not have the ability to create a friend list and thus 'friend only' posts, but it does have the ability to have a private blog that you can give certain people the password to see (the free version only allows 35 'allowed' readers, for unlimited there is a fee). Or you can just make certain posts private, for those you would also have to give a password to the people you want to allow to read the post.
Life in a Glass Apartment
I'd already been struggling quite a bit with my blog. One post would be about work, the next about my kids. A post or two about some personal angst, then something random from the news or high-tech industry. Blogs need themes, don't they? Some kind of focus so folks know what to expect. On the o...
Hi Laurie, I tried to add your blog address to my 'Google Reader' but it keeps telling me that it can not find the feed. However I can just open the blog address in a separate window. I am thinking that you may have to allow feeds somewhere in your settings. I think it is in the Dashboard under settings, then under feeds, then you can choose which kind of feed to allow. At least that is what I think.
Okay I am testing posterous's multi-blog posting capability
I do not know if this will work but I am going to give it a try. Posterous has a multiple blog posting option so I am giving it a try.

Did you also move here from VOX, like Raymond and I did? I actually went ahead and moved my blog to here and to wordpress so that I could try to keep up with everyone that is moving, now I just have to learn how to use the both and then I guess eventually decide which one that I like the most. Good luck with your new blog.
ps the pictures are wonderful
