I have the most extensive case of writer's block that I have ever encountered. I can't blog. I can't work on the fiction pieces I have going. I almost never update facebook. Heck, even the 140 characters of Twitter seem beyond me lately. I have tried. And every time I... Continue reading

In some instances it creeps me out. In others, it makes me happy that someone is watching and checking on me (obviously this is a person I like in this scenario) and clearly cares about me. I do think three or four times before I post anything anymore though. Never sure when I will be greeted by some weird piece of information, or tweets about something I said or other odd things....

Everyone looks funny when they have slapped themselves on the back of the head. Kind of surprised and goofy.

Ah, the internet, source of a thousand conversations and even more awkward moments. Also the place where we can go and silently, from the safety of our computer lit bedroom, judge everyone else there as lacking in some monumental way. We can judge their lives and armchair diagnose their illnesses.... Continue reading

I'm the same way. If I could figure out who I want to keep, I would trim. But I have looked at that list several times, and just don't have anyone I know for certain I want to cut out. Being observed is odd. I'm not sure I mind it mostly. I think I just wish folks would participate, or just talk to me directly if they don't want to participate.

Oh, I often joke that I don't like running - I like the stopping. LOL I am running because I need to. I need the energy to keep up with my kid, and to live to see her have kids. I also want her to see me taking care of myself, to know that when she's a mom (if she is) that it is important to exercise. How was the doctor's visit? Any good news? We should get together and run/walk/hobble about once I get back from Colorado. (Where I will walk, at the very least, but I'm hoping for some good Colorado morning runs or some length)

I'm pretty present on the internet. You can find me pretty easily if you know my name. A while back you even got a picture of me from the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, though that has been taken down now. If you know my online handle, you can find even more.... Continue reading

Back in April, the first to be exact, I began (again) exercising. My plan was simple, go to the gym, turn on an hour long TV show, and walk (fast) until the TV show was over. After about a week, I started adding some running to that mix. Slowly adding... Continue reading

Is this thing on? No? I haven't felt the blog love lately. I think it seems to be one more thing in a host of things that I "should" do, but don't. Also, I feel like I have run out of important stuff to do. I think I might have... Continue reading

This time of April seems to go slowly. The seeds have been started, and are working themselves up to nice little plantlings. It almost feels like spring. Almost. Except for that weird snow advisory for last night and this morning. The last frost date for the Portland are is usually... Continue reading

Ready for my humorless, stick-in-the-mud, crochety revelation? I do not like April Fool's Day. I don't enjoy it at all. I find the constant not knowing if something I read is true or not, combined with the fact that I am pretty damn gullible to make for a tense day.... Continue reading

My body clock is off. Has been since the time change really. Today however, it is convinced that it is Friday. It was slightly disheartening to realize that it was, in fact, only Thursday. I woke up late this morning, having slept right through my alarm. Given that my alarm... Continue reading

Usually, February hits and I get more and more tense waiting for the sun to reappear from under the constant clouds. This year, however, I seem to have made it through February fine, only to be hit full force by the "OMG! Make it sunny!!" feeling now, at the end... Continue reading

Apparently it is that time of year again. About twice a year I feel the need to rearrange a room. Sometimes the living room, sometimes the kitchen. I keep eyeing the bedroom, but can't figure out something better. This time, the living room's number was up. So, yesterday I went... Continue reading

Yes, I am finding my neck and back are rather unhappy with me as well. Working from home is a lot of sitting, and doesn't have the same spanky chairs that office work has. LOL THanks for the link, I will check it out.

Things I have learned this week: Even thought it may feel like it at the time, work is not more important than family, unless someone is actually on fire. As much as we wish to hide flaws, sometimes the only way for the flaws to heal is to leave them... Continue reading

Five: Something you hope to do in your life I'm not sure how to boil this down to one single thing. There is so much I hope to do in my life, which may be my problem. Perhaps if I focus on one single thing, I might be able to... Continue reading

Why is that? Perhaps because the "toys" they want are usually out of my price range? Or because the husband has everything he really needs? Whatever the reason, I have a difficult time coming up with gifts for Gary. I think I have good ideas...but I am still not sure... Continue reading

I like the idea that if I am worrying about it, then I am doing okay. Our kiddos are close to the same age, so it isn't too surprising that we hit the same things at the the same time. I think overall, we must be doing okay. :)

We has them. Oh my gracious we have them. Today B and I put together last year's advent calendar, and I ordered missing bits from the Lego website. All our Harry Potter sets have been reassembled and dusted off in preparation for the upcoming holiday, which will bring us...more Legos.... Continue reading

I feel both like I am missing a month somewhere and it has been an incredibly long fall. Truly an odd feeling. Today was the first day of December, which meant the first day of our Lego advent calendar. This evening also marked the first night of Hanukkah, which meant... Continue reading

See, this is what happens when I get busy. I don't blog and then the spiders move in and out and leave the place a mess. Well, here we are at the end of November, and NaNoWriMo is over as of tonight. I tried. I really did. I have a... Continue reading
