What a poignant essay. Thanks for sharing it and a sweet birthday weekend to you. You may be older than your years, but 37 is young. Enjoy your youth. You will wake up and be 54 (like me) before you know it. It'll be a fab trip, tho. :-))
37 + Me = Okay . . . I Think
Today is THE day. The day when, in my earlier years I thought, okay, once you hit 37 it's all d.o.w.n.h.i.l.l. In three more years you're 40, and then what's left? AND to top it off, my birthday always feels like a bit of a let-down. I have all kinds of romantic ideas of what I'd love my birth...
Very pretty and unique pages. The storm's been wicked. No snow down here in Houston area, but I'm freezing my butt off just the same. Haveta admit it's kinda been fun to actually wear my winter clothes, tho. LOL xoxo
LIttle Black Dress Projects :: January Kit + RSS Feed News
After many, MANY hours of snow, I think we are finally on the tail end of our Winter Storm "Benedict" here in Connecticut! We got so much snow, it's hard to tell exactly the amount, but let's just say, we are BURIED! There's at least a couple feet out there - so with last week's storm and la...
Hi Amy. Happy New Year and I hope you are staying warm and safe. Saw Jim Cantori's coverage of the CT weather and that same prediction of more. Just wanted to let you know that I've been catching up on my Reader scripts and I have updated mine for your new blog url. I enjoy seeing your cards and layouts so much, so cheery and bright and well-designed. I subscribe online to Cards and 3 more of their mags and have been so happy for you getting pubbed with them. Also wanted to tell you that your Broken layout is beautiful and I hope it helped you to create it. xoxo
Snowy Saturday . . . and Sunday . . and . . .
This is what I woke to this morning. It was a BEAUTIFUL sunrise. That is one thing I love about losing the leaves on the back of our property. We get amazing sunrises through the trees - gorgeous. The kids were super excited when they got their first view of the 1' of snow that fell last nigh...
Oh, dang, how about two freakouts (2 comments)?? LOL
Forgot to tellya. I'm working on Missy's 1020 4x6" monthly calendar and it's basicaly a minibook. I have been TRYING to channel you IN VAIN -- could you please send me a holagram of yoursself - dang, these minibooks are HARD! I need templates, like a scrapbook layout sketch for them. They are basically scrap layouts in miniature, arent they? I think you should write a book for that. I'm not kidding, either, you have the touch of talent for them. xoxo
Word for 2010
Grateful - sometimes I have a hard time saying it out loud...why? Well, the Christmas before we lost Ryan I remember sharing with my mother in law how happy I was, how I literally felt so happy that I feared something bad happening and just 2 months later we lost Ryan. So for the past 17 years...
Hey girl, my fingers are not so swollen today, thought I'd pop over and freak you right out with a comment. winkwink
Ah, another year, another Word. Wow, good luck with choosing. All I can say is how proud I am of you this past year for baring and sharing about Ryan. I see you have moved forward because of it in multiple ways. (Yes, I do frequent this blog, even tho I rarely leave a comment. My stoopid fingers and arthritis.) I know it's been painful, but it's gotta be somewhat relieving, too. I applaud you for working on the Grateful thing. Work thru that sting, girl, it's not always gonna bite.
Loveya!

Weekend update
Had a long busy weekend and it's only Saturday... Friday Chelsea came home and we went for a walk with the dog first thing in the morning, went to breakfast at Yours Truly and then did some shopping looking for shoes to match her dress for the wedding she's going to next weekend. Early in t...
Wow, she had fun! How cool! Hey, there's an award on my paper paisleys blog for you...the blog entry with the indian art, 4/20, I think.

California
Chelsea had a wonderful time in California thanks to my cousin Stephen and his family. He took her to work out with his clients, to see the sights of LA and to many wonderful dinners, to name just a few of the things she did. Who knew her return trip, being a red eye flight, would leave us all w...
Jill, there is an award on my paper paisleys blog for you to come get! :-)
This album is fan-tastic. Euphoria - great choice, although you should know it makes you a pink girl, winkwink. Yup, I know, you really prefered the pinks, hehe.
And, loved your comment the other day, history in the making indeed! :-)))

Hi, Tina, I got all caught up and read your entries since the little spiral notebooks you made. Really enjoyed all the layouts a lot. I don't think I really got just why Chelsea is so into all the working out, but good for her...do you think she is gonna change her major to kinesthesiology or however you spell it - PhysEd back in the day? Nows the time to change if she is gonna, before she gets out of the required courses. Hope the braces go on well and not too much discomfort. And I sure hope you get your tooth infection cleared up, girl! That is whack, but it happens quite often when teeth are pulled. I go for my checkup in May and I think I already need it now, lol. I'll send some sun up your way...Have a Blessed Easter and a fun family get together. xoxo
Thank goodness the sun is back
I couldn't believe we had snow again. I guess everyone says we have at least one snow day in April, but I thought for sure we were out of winter until this... It sure looks pretty, but I'm so ready for some green grass, warm weather and flowers in the yard! At least today it warmed up enoug...
Hi, Shirley, there is an award waiting for you on my Tuesday post at Paper Paisleys, come by to pick up! Love your idea for No Regrets and the piece as well. xoxo

Design Team Challenge - 'We Dare You'
This week's 'We Dare You' Scrappit Design Team Challenge was to scrap 'Regrets' - something we regret, something we would like to take back or an unfinished chapter. After thinking about this one for quite some time, I decided that whilst there are times where I wish I hadn't done what I did, or...
Hey Jill, he's a lady killer even when he's recovering, uh-oh. He should be very well taken care of in his life then, winkwink.
Seriously, sounds like he was pretty sick and I am glad he is well now.
Enjoyed coming to see what photo the tag unearthed, that's always fun. ;-) Love the descriptions.

After a week of being sicker than he has ever been before. A week out of school. A week of worrying, sleepless nights, the thermometer and medicine. I'm so happy to see that smile... and that grin when trying not to smile. I've been tagged by my friend Aimeslee The tag how-to... Go...
I saw that too! Cute cute cute, love your journals. I was just thinking today about you publishing your blog to that book being just about the coolest thing I've seen done with a blog yet. xoxo
A journal of sorts
Recently I saw someone online make these and thought what a great idea! Using the box from some of your favorite things. After going to see Phil and Amy in Urbana, one of the things they suggested was to track all your food in a journal to see just where those calories are coming from. So I th...
Hi, Shirley! Gosh, love all the latest creations you've shown us and all the pubs you are in, wow! The masks are gorgeous and also the book you made. So sorry you had to put the goat down, but I share your feelings about saving them the misery. If you get Whirlpool Duets down under, I've had my washer for about 5-6 years now and it is totally care-free all this time except for the handle cracked recently and it was a $13 part replacement only. The washer can wash 22 towels at once! And I love the delicate and hand wash settings - you can do some dry-cleanables on them, even. I highly recommend. And it saves a lot of water use over our old top loader, too.
Ebay Listings
Just a quick post today after listing a heap of items on Ebay! It's been something I've had on my 'To Do List' for quite some time, so it's nice to be able to finally cross it off! You can check them all out here! Until next time,
Tina, glad you had a good time at the concert, but so sorry you had to have the tooth surgery. LOVE THOSE EGGS! :-)
Spring break
For months we've been trying to get together with Sam and Tasha, and finally, last night we were able to meet for dinner. We met at Applebees and spent the next couple hours catching up and doing lots of laughing! It was a fun night and I'm looking forward to our next get together... Chel an...
My Mexican Pansies are sprouting out of the ground in little shoots now - Hubs just thought he cut them all down and got rid of them - HA! Our Mexican neighbor jokes you can't get rid of Mexicans that easy. LOLOL - ok, it's funny to everybody down here, anywayz. Likey your sky header. {hugs}
Stamp club and Springs Arrival
Yesterday was our monthly stamp club meeting and I love how Michelle always comes up with the cutest ideas. And not only are they cute, but she makes things that don't take a lot of time to put together. The little box was a 6 X 6 piece of paper scored and cut to make the box. Perfect for post...
