30 years in the staffing business and 12 years helping others enjoy the benefits of better time management including the creation of balance for individuals, improving the communications within organizations and helping people understand the difference between urgent and important.
Interests: My interest lately has been golf, which has affected my ability to be a good time manager. Beyond golf I love the time that I spend with my family at home and on vacations.
Professionally, I enjoy presenting my passion which is helping people manage their time better. You see, I came from a place in which organization and time management were foreign concepts. In other words, I struggled with getting things done and doing what I said I would when promised.
I also consider myself to be a lifelong learner which is one of the reasons the transition from poor manager of time to passionate about helping people with their organization was possible. I simply love to learn and when I realized I had a problem (the first step to recovery) I sought out training that I thought would help. Now I’m addicted to helping others with the problem that plagued me for most of my life.

Happy new year! I know what you're thinking--it's been a while since I've posted anything. I can explain and promise to do better in 2012 and beyond. This past March I was attending a Pittsburgh Coaches Association meeting when I learned about the Professional Coaching Certification Program offered at Duquesne... Continue reading

What do the Pittsburgh Steelers have in Common with Time Management?
Well for starters I love them both. But this post is about more than just a love affair with my favorite sports team and the science of managing time (yourself). Grant it, the timing of Pittsburgh's win over the New York Jets last night may be a bit suspicious, but... Continue reading

Do you tend to be uncomfortable doing important things as oppossed to the urgent?
I was having a conversation today with a respected colleague as she was making her way to Harrisburg for an important meeting. This SHRM meeting would offer her networking opportunities, continuing education credits and fulfill a commitment that she made to volunteer for the organization. And yet I sensed she... The Daily Planning Process
At the end of every day I have a ritual that takes 10 minutes or so and which I consider to be the most productive part of my day. Try it for a week and tell me if you don't feel better and get more important stuff done: The key... Continue reading

I don't have time....I make it
That's how I responded to someone last week who suggested I likely didn't have enough time to play golf. Those who know me well know that I love the game of golf. I'm not very good but I absolutely enjoy the game. So, when it comes to "making time", I'll... Continue reading

What's with the name---Noah Scape?
A couple years ago a friend of mine in the advertising business told me of a name that he was contemplating for a business. The name--Noah Scape wasn't spoken for at the time so I jumped at the opportunity to make it my own. It reminded me of the feeling... Continue reading

The worse part of vacation is coming back?
In my last post, I mentioned I would share with you the feeling I had when I returned from vacation and found several hundred e-mails in my inbox (among other work that needed to be done). Obviously the feeling was pretty bad, but having a plan as to what to... Continue reading

I was ready to write a post describing the feeling I had when I returned from two weeks of vacation and found several hundred emails waiting for me in my inbox (more on this later), but instead I feel the need to share a piece that I happened to catch... Continue reading

Why do so many of us work while we are on vacation?
Why do so many of us work while we are on vacation? Like most, I look forward to my vacation all year. It’s a time to unwind and detach from the pressures of work and routine. We enjoy the time with our children and presumably they enjoy the time with... Continue reading

Why am I Doing This?
Why am I writing this? Good question. It seems to me to be the easiest way for me to share my passion. Until recently I didn’t know that helping people perform better, specifically with their time management, was my passion. You see, when I was growing up my parents always... Continue reading

A little about me...
At age three, I fell head first from a top bunk bed leaving me with a serious head injury and 52 stitches. While no long-lasting affects were indicated at the time, it became apparent early in school that I had challenges learning. I was later diagnosed with dyslexia and Attention... Continue reading
