I'm loving that I found my comment thanking you for your original strawberry rhubarb muffin recipe post saying "I can't wait to try them!" -- but never did try them out....now there's an excuse to hit up the farmer's market, whole foods AND bake! Fantastic :D These will be perfect rewarmed and eaten at sunrise during our weekend getaway to our rustic cottage on an island in Lake Winnipesaukee...*sigh of happiness*
ten things
ten things I'm loving right now... 1. Absolutely every little crafty thing that just arrived from good-ness. I can't wait to sew with it all 2. My rekindled pregnant-in-the-summer love affair with banana splits. 3. The bittersweet end of a little league season, where I watched my child's ...
I love your blog! What great ideas! Anyways, I'm making my friend a summer tote. She's in Florida at Opera School (faaaaaancy) and needs something summery/pretty/elegant for carrying her sheet music, though I might send her a yoga mat bag as well...hmm...I'm going to use some big florals on the tote, but as far as the yoga mat bag goes I'm gonna have to go through my stash for that one....
Wanted: A Slinky Shoulder for the Piping & Stripe Bag - GIVEAWAY!!
I'm a little anxious at the moment because my knackered old PC is making (doom-on-the-horizon) clicking noises. I am just going to have to bite the bullet and replace the old girl (which was a birthday present back in 2000) we've had some good times together - sniff! Because I do a lot of wor...
Ohhhh THANK YOU for this recipe. Strawberry Rhubarb anything is the best ever, can't wait to try the muffins!

Thank you for sharing this post and the wonderful pictures. It reminded me that it's about time to clear the work schedule, use some vacation days and head up to my grandparent's cabin on Bear Island :)
so good
We had a lovely weekend away. Calvin was more than fine on his own, and only mildly happy to see us (which I'm taking as a sign of success). There were s'mores, first swims of the season, kayak adventures, plenty of time spent in the hammock, lots of lounging and reading (being deeply moved by...
Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts and these photos. This post is the perfect explanation of why this nature-nerdy biologist loves working in Boston and why it's important to stop for a minute every once in a while a take a breath of fresh air :)
the quiet in the noise
I've always been a little unsure of bigger cities. I, of course, love what they have to offer, and the beauty and the diversity and the pulse is all so amazing to me. But I also get terribly overstimulated by noise, traffic, and busyness - not to mention the sometimes-intensity of human int...
I am delurking to say "Happy Blogaversary"
This morning I am sneaking a peak at my favorite crafty blogs while I finish up some hot apple cider from Starbucks, purchased after Animal Behavior class and right before going to work (at a cancer hospital in Boston). Thank you for sharing your crafts, stories, and family with the world. I often save my daily view of SouleMama for late in the afternoon when work settles down, so I can take in the goodness that is this blog!! Keep up the fabulous work!!
Take care!
This blog is two!
(video link if the stream above isn't working for you.) Yup, she's got it. It's two! (She'd also say "two" if I asked what shirt she wanted to wear today. "Two", is the answer du jour, you see.) Two years ago this week, I moved this little blog over from Blogger. I've gone on (and on) many t...
