interruption in the continuity of a work
Without a doubt, munchkins, there's been an interruption in the continuity of this here work. Goodness gracious me. In short, I've been busy. In long, I've just been a whirlwind of work-related thoughts, none of which I recognize as my own, but what I've been sensing as a panic-filled, over-stressed debacle of all my former hopes and dreams. Hence, the hiatus. ...and hence, the reformulation of my life plan. (<---Haa haa! Sounds deep. Really not.) I've already got a fresh blog in the works, as this one here just doesn't seem right to blog on anymore. The classroom/teacher blog I... Continue reading

September, and a BLOG LAUNCH
I remember my exact sentitments on this day, last year, and they went a little something like this: "September is the rape of Summer." I posted about that HERE. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Those sentiments are not with me this year, however. Something's different. I welcome September with open arms today. In fact, September's here, and so's my new BLOG: *boop*boop* classroom Yep! I've entered the teacher-blog -o-sphere. I had to. {{wink wink}} What a cutie patootie my new blog is! Things... To us, not your typical hurricane...
Okay, so your typical hurricane causes craziness. Your typical hurricane knocks down trees, ruins property, causes flooding... ...to us, Irene did nothing but push a few branches into our pool. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - That didn't stop me from getting into my cozies and shacking up for 32 hours straight: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The boops were uneffected, but held up shop in our... teacher/crafter/teacher-ME
teacher/crafter/teacher-ME has been in full end-of-August swing, and a permanent fixture in my new mega-pink craftroom: ...along with my crazy little boop girl-cat... Remember this post? Yeah. She's still sure that this room is her room, and she's just allowing me to craft in it. Boop. Speaking of *boop*, my new classroom/teacher blog *boop*boop* classroom is in the works and the launch is right on schedule for September the 1st. There you will follow me along my journey as a first year teacher, and see teacher-outfits and some of the teacher-creations I get involved in. Some examples are below: Oh,... Continue reading

Mine has arrived, and it's the third time I've gotten a Mom's Plan it Engagement Planner. In my opinion, they're just the best. I blogged about them last year here. Updates on... Continue reading

Hi, Elise! Remember me from your Blog 2.0 class of July?? :)
First of all, your Summer book is the work of pure scrapping GENiUS, and I'd love to be involved in any scrapping 'venture you set forth! Fall book, here I come?
Second: guess what! All the positive energy I received and gave off this Summer worked because I have my first-ever real-life teaching job lined up for September...what a wonderful way to capture my first few months as a classroom teacher than to scrap-a-doo it!
Third, in the next few weeks, I'm going to be putting all the information I gathered in your Blog 2.0 class to use by creating my new teacher/classroom blog set to launch September 1st (see post HERE: http://www.amandasproject26272829.com/2011/08/_much-love-monday_16.html )
That's all for now. Looking forward to the trailer. See you then!
wrapping up the summer book.
I'm finished with my summer book. Yep, it's still August. Yep, I know that means it's still summer. But for me, this book seems done and this chapter seems complete. I'm excited that I kept it up and I'm thrilled to be done. As for what's next : I'll be spending the next week or so ...
our new craft rooom: Part I
My dad's old office/storage space (seen in this post/ warning: it's kinda sad) is going to become our new craft room. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I mentioned briefly in this post about the new craft room needing to be done so I could have an inspiration space for creating blog things and classroom things and me-time things... ...well,... ♥ much love monday ♥
Today I'm ♥ much loving ♥ . . . ♥ waking up the past three mornings giddy about my new job ♥ ♥ all the love given to me from those who have supported me all along♥ and ♥ a new virtual adventure♥ [see below] What do you think about that, fellow citizens of the blog-o-sphere? As if my plate wasn't filled with enough for the next four weeks, I'm adding the creating and launching of a new blog to the mix of it!! {{wink, wink}} Honestly, though, blogging is a glorious side-hobby of mine. It makes me appreciate what's... Continue reading

Well, shucks. I got the job.
Yesterday morning, after a fifteen-minute conversation with my principal over the phone, she offered me the teaching position. I will be teaching a third-grade special ed class in my favorite school. It was the job I did the demo-lesson for. It was the job I've been visualizing myself having, and so - I believe - I made happen (plus, my friend Elisa said she prayed for me in the Italian church of miracles while on her European honeymoon...that might have helped a bit, too.) Last night Tomas and I visited her and her husband's new apartment and celebrated their new... Continue reading

Dottie & Trisha & Julie, oh my!
*bike blog goddesses* & me (fart sound) Seriously, no joke, I would never kid you: these three women are the sweetest loveliest people I ever met. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Yesterday turned out to be a super fantastic day. I went back and forth, forth and back, whether or not I was going to play hookie from my {loser boring three-hour Grad class} to hop on the subway and travel over an hour into the city to AdelineAdeline to see the... Wow. Praying for strength for both of you. You're in my thoughts.
do your best.
For as long as I can remember do your best has been my family's motto. My mom's favorite chorus especially. Test at school? Do your best. Presentation? Do your best. College applications? Do your best. Pulling out of the garage to drive to a friend house? Do your best. It became so routine that ...

So much thinking.
[shoes: BLOWFiSH] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I think when your heart and mind cooperate and take the time to formulate what is it you want to do and who it is you want to be, the dedication, patience, and work it takes to get there is often underestimated. I know I have my own long, arduous journey ahead of 'where I want to be' in my career and how I want my everyday of my working future to look like. [The... Continue reading

August. Say wha?
Hi, boops! So much to do and so little days in August to fit it in. Does anyone else feel that too? I've been doing so much thinking. So much thinking about this blog here, and about where I'm at and who I'm at there with, and then there's the hundreds of things I need to get done before school starts, and the craft room that needs to be painted and organized and re-done so that I can have an inspiration space for creating blog things and classroom things and me-time things. I can't believe it's already August. Time zooms.... Continue reading
