Since Diana posted a picture of the asylum she used to work at, I thought I'd post a picture of St. Albans, the former boys' school that became an asylum. The man who owns it now is a former patient, sent there for "treatment" which included shock therapy, for what turned out to be Aspergers. He plans on turning it into a Spiritual retreat and learning center similar to the Cayce Institute in Virginia Beach. As you can see from the picture, the building fell into disrepair, partly from the elements but largely to vandalism by local kids and college students. It's highly "active" and a favorite of local paranormal groups. Unfortunately, the two groups that had exclusive rights to investigations had a falling out because one group basically went behind the other group's back to get exclusive rights for themselves because they didn't want to share. I went on a tour of the facility a couple of years ago that was led by the group that got excluded a few months later and I'm hoping to join them by next spring once the leaders of the group get some matters sorted out to do more investigations. While on the tour, we heard a low growl from the room adjacent to the shock therapy room. This was where a tour guide earlier in the day saw a man crouching behind an old safe, watching her. This happened twice to the same girl and the second time the man stood up before disappearing. She refused to go into that part of the building the rest of the day.
