Coming from that part of the world where 'chalta hai' (Care a damn)... Continue reading

Ever had that moment of happiness seeing yourself in the mirror after a good, hard workout in the gym or seeing that trophy you won after spending hours on the racing track. Gives the most satisfying feeling amongst the agonizing pain in the body and mind. Experiencing that happiness makes... Continue reading

Diversity is profitability - in business as well personal careers. This has been my personal experience and is proving to be a boon on daily basis. Long gone are the eras which were dominated by professionals with domain knowledge but little expertise beyond that. What works in our favour as... Continue reading

Recently, have been hearing a lot of talk about intrinsic potential to succeed, the drive to excel and the scope for imprinting a global footprint. Having said that, the talk also involved laying heavy but unnecessary stress on the impeding factors such as government policies & regulations, lack of level... Continue reading

Last entire week was spent working on a problem that we faced recently. After healthy amount of brainstorming and trying and testing viability of the solutions on offer, the funnel resulting in finalization of one such solution. Although we are satisfied with the solution, much depends on the satisfaction of... Continue reading

Have been pondering on two statements - 'Practice makes a man perfect' and 'Nobody is perfect'. When read out together in the right context, it sends out a real good message. While the first statement sets the goal worthy of pursuit, the second statement provides the motivational thrust to prove... Continue reading

I remember my grandparents indulging in a game of Solitaire (for some reason they used to call it Patience). As the cards from the deck kept on coming, the pieces used to fall in place and the complete set used to be arranged eventually leading to the deck of cards... Continue reading

Success of most companies depends upon ideas and strategies well thought of and well executed. However it is even more essential that the people generating these ideas or strategies have conviction in their ideas and are confident of their own abilities. Although most ideas are successful through thorough analysis, study... Continue reading

Throughout history it has been observed and learnt (most often the hard way) that successful countries, organizations and great individuals have had one thing in common - advantage off being at higher grounds than their competition. The race to success in today's world is more about being at a higher... Continue reading

Saw the caption on TV for one of the leading automobile companies in India. Found it quite appropriate to the life that we live everyday and crave to live the rest of our days on this planet. Looking back I guess it has been the same for me as well... Continue reading

It has been a year since I jumped from my typical 9-5 job to Aviation Asset Management indutry which demanded much more than just the dedication and concentration that most 9-5 companies demand. Having said that, I had a fair degree of clarity on the requirements of the industry that I was entering into.To be honest, it has been a very steep leearning curve and I am very satisfied with the amount of road I have managed to travell through this one year. However there was one aspect of this industry which has intrigued and excited me more than any thing else - the fact that this industry thrives on expertise. On second thought it also intices a thought whether the industry believes in outsourced expertise or expert outsourcing. In my experience over the past year, the more the clients demand expertise and professional work from the service providers, they also seem to dwell a lot to decide on the service providers which they outsource work to. This is also evident from the fact that we have managed to go from 01 client portfolio in 2008 to 08 major clients in 2010 with simultaneous projects running in several countries. In view of this fact, I am convinced that there is a significant shift in the selection process of service providers - something we would definitely like to take pride in!!! Continue reading
