Great pictures! I have several that I took on the last big trip with the hopes of adding them to pages to create a real feel for the places visited. Can't wait to see what you do!!

LOVE the look. I took photos of cobblestone roads to do a similar thing...if I ever get to it! Love it!

I too, love that glow when the light backdrop shows through the flowers and you can see the veins in the near transparent state...truly amazing! You need a spring road trip to Holland, Michigan to get an overload of tulips in colors and varieties like you wouldn't believe.

Two of my favorite subjects too! Sometimes the butterflies are easier to shoot than the kids! (even as old as they are now!)

I took a long time to convert to 4"x6" from 3.5"x5", but now when I print my own I love being able to print two to a 4"x6". I get more on a page and am able feature my favorite photos larger. Your pages are sooo colorful and really makes you feel you are right there in the market!

Things I remember about music as a kid: 1. Early years would be listening to what my parents listened to and that would include the Big Bands...they were ballroom dancers long before DWTS. 2. It also included the crooners like Sinatra, Bing and Como. 3. For our family there were lots of Scottish folk music and the White Heather Concerts once a year that would bring entertainers from Scotland to the US on tour. 4. I was about 6-7 when the Beatles landed on the Ed Sullivan Show. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. 5. I loved the Beach Boys...Barbara Ann, Help Me Rhonda...it was great! 6. Lot's of great singers in the 60's...Pet Clark, Chad and Jeremy, Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul and Mary, and all the British pop groups. My first 45rpm record was Herman Hermits singing I'm Henry the VIII/Mrs. Brown you have a lovely daughter. I was nine and recovering from a tonsilectomy, not very well...it was supposed to make me feel better. 7. How could you not love Motown? Tempations, Supremes and Smokey Robinson to name a few. 8. I was a fan of Neil Diamond, beginning with the stuff in the 50's like Hanky Panky, Sweet Caroline to Coming to America. When he was in his second or third comeback tour, my brother worked as a bouncer at his concert at the Colisium. 9. Then came jr. high and high school and my tastes ran into the bluegrass Flatts-n-Scruggs and county-western (yes...the hyphenated days)Statler Brothers, Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell, Kenny Rogers..."Ruby...Don't take your love to town", Tanya Tucker; and the southern rock that Charlie Daniels was known for in the 70's as well as the folkier sounds like Linda Ronstadt and America. 10. The Doobie Brothers, Blood Sweat and Tears...Steve Miller Band and Cat Stevens, it was an eclectic time. 11. ShaNaNa the 70's group that brought us all the 50's hits to enjoy all over again...or more likely for the first time. 12. Classical Music is a peaceful memory of my days taking ballet and visits to Severance Hall to hear the Cleveland Orchestra with school that has carried over to our home as the kids were growing up. Come to think of it...there are far more memories than I can list...so many events are tied to a song...and a memory.

Memory Prompt - First Five: Autumn Leaves, What are the First Five things that come to mind when you see this: fall leaves 1. Cool evenings 2. Crunching, crisp leaves on park paths. 3. Family birthdays begin on the first day of fall and end on the first day of spring. 4. Crisp MacIntosh apples to eat, and bake, and dip. 5. The only place that I love the colors yellow, orange and red together, and the only perfect shades of those colors! 6. Scenic drives, usually the week AFTER our Fall Foliage Tour weekend, but not THIS year! Color already popping out!

What are the first things that come to mind when you READ this: Fiddle, 1. My mind goes directly to the instrument I wanted to learn to play when in grade school they handed me a violin instead. (still planning to to learn the "fiddle" necessary for bluegrasss music as well as Scottish folk music) 2. Then there was the Fiddle-r on the Roof...a musical that has acted as a score for so many events in our lives and how we tell the story. We can be a bit over dramatic at times! 3. Then there's the great Fiddle-r Charlie Daniels who brought fiddle music to rockers as well as country fans for many, many years. 4. Then there's Miss Scarlet....and her "fiddle-de-de" in Gone With the Wind. 5. And then there is fiddlesticks...where that comes from beyond the game, I don't know...but it did come to mind!

Decisions I've had to make this week (some were easy - some were not): 1. Began the week by taking a new job sewing from home for a furniture company. (not sure if this will work). 2. Picking out fabric for a dress to make for my granddaughter to take pictures for the family at Christmas...this year they will all coordinate! and match the scrapbook paper I have picked for the layout. Kinda worked backwards this year! 3. Where to go out to dinner with my Mum for a celebration..her favorite place gave terrible service last time she was there...so where now?

I Remember - September 11 1. The kids were finishing morning chores and cleaning up from breakfast. It was a normal morning. 2. The radio was still on, we were getting ready to start morning lessons, when the announcer spoke about a plane hitting one of the twin towers...they described it as possibly as a small plane. 3. I turned the TV on immediately. Photo coverage was almost immediate. From what we could see it didn't seem like a small plane, or an accident. I believed we were under attack. 4. Moments later we watched in stunned horrific silence as another airliner came into the picture frame and hit the second tower. 5. I gathered the kids together to cry out to God. I paced the floor watching TV and listening to the radio. 6. Then the Pentagon was hit. 7. Radio reports were talking about a plane over our area that was being watched and believed to be a fourth plane. We weren't sure if Cleveland was a target, or how many other cities may be targeted. It was all so uncertain. That plane was then reported as downed in Western PA. 8. Planes were rapidly being grounded across the country. 9. We watched people running from the buildings and trying to get away from the clouds of dust. I didn't believe the towers would remain standing for long...and they didn't. I don't know why it was such a surprise to some of those reporting. 10. We kept waiting to see what else was going to happen, glued to the news. I encouraged the kids to write about things as they happened...not so much the facts of the events, but things from their point of view. 11. The President addressed the nation; the attacks had been a declaration of war...life was going to change. I worried about my boys 16, 13, and 6, what would that mean for them?
