Project Life 2013: Week 1
I decided this was the year I'd do Project Life, and what happens? I start off the year by immediately falling behind. But I'm tremendously proud - and more than a little relieved - to have my first week's layout done. What a way to break my scrappers block! I'm... Continue reading

The Reedlets at Rest
I had the pleasure of hanging out with the Reedlets earlier this week, while their mom and dad went to a school orientation. It's crazy to think this little man will be starting Kindergarten this fall.. I captured this image while they laid on the couch after dinner, watching TV. Continue reading

Maggie and Her Sprong
My female Morkie, Maggie, will be 10 months old on January 10th. We are in full-fledged puppy mode. I find kleenex shredded, stuffed toys eviscerated, and electronics chewed to bits. (She's especially partial to headphones. Maggie has destroyed 3 sets of earbuds and 1 expensive over-the-ear noise cancelling pair. She... Continue reading

Let Go(d)
I shot this photograph of the Atlantic Ocean on a trip to Florida several years ago. While revisiting older photos, it jumped out at me and wanted to play. This image is available for purchase here. Continue reading

Building my Photography Studio
I have the best husband in the world. Our 30-year old ranch-style home has an extra room at the back of the house. Tucked away at the end of the hallway that leads back to the bedrooms, this room is a bit of an oddity. It's bigger than our master... Continue reading

Getting creative about taking lunch
I know what you're thinking. Mid-day blog posts are a sign of the self-employed, the vacationing, or the goofing-off-at-work. Setting aside the fact that TypePad allows you to schedule a post to publish later, I'll freely admit that it is one in the afternoon, and I am blogging. And yeah,... Continue reading

2010's Monday in Photos + Words
I'm making progress, slowly but surely, in pulling together the photos + words I collected last year into a cohesive album. Here's how Monday came together: This is an excellent exercise to undertake ten days before beginning my 2011 round of "Week in the Life" documentation. I've found I'm taking... Continue reading

It's nearly that time again!
Now that I'm back to work after five months of medical leave (which is a super long story for another time) I'm trying to be better about exercising good work habits. Why not start back off on the right foot, right? I've always been a little anal-retentive about calendar-keeping, but... Continue reading

Grace & Strength
Look who's scrapbooking again! I've registered for the self-pages digital scrapbooking class Digi: In Deep at JessicaSprague.com in an attempt to (a) give my days some structure and (b) keep my skills from getting rusty while I'm on short-term disability for fibro. The added benefit is that it's got me... Continue reading

"Believe in Yourself" (that goes for me, too)
I've been gripped by some massive brain-block the past couple weeks, but today, I sat down at my computer with the express intent to CREATE SOMETHING. Not sort, not organize, not tag ... create. And this is the result. The photograph is of Veronica, executing a C-jump. Isn't she gorgeous?... Continue reading
