I've fallen away from creating for awhile - this looks like exactly what I need to get back to it and feel more myself again! Thank you for the chance to enter.

We're so thrilled with the beautiful work from our guest, Shelby, and our new team member Katherine, Wendy and Jayne! So glad to have you be a part of Inspiration Elevator!!
Your work is always so instantly recognizable. How generous of you to offer up a prize, too!
Pinned it to my Art & Inspiration board. Congratulations on being a contributor!!

Amen. Love that Brendan Manning quote!
What a fun page - how cool that you played with green and red, but it isn't a Christmas layout, per se. Thanks for playing along with us at Stuck?! sketches.

That's exactly where it is right now, Michelle. Thanks for popping by and for your kind words. :-)
Thanks so much for your kind words, Christa!
THanks, Jan. I like what the bling did to finish the edges, too.
Thank you so much, Darcy! It would be a good size to sit on a desk and add Christmas cheer to the workplace.
You are so kind, Louise. Believe it or not, it came together pretty easily once I got going.
So easy to make, and yet my hubby's fave - chow mein chews. 1 c chocolate chips, 1 c butterscotch chips melted together in a double boiler on low heat, stir in 1 c peanuts and 1 c crispy chow mein noodles. Drop by teaspoon on lined cookie sheets until hardened.

Donna, I really appreciate your transparency on this IW. You started out with no plan, which is probably like a lot of us when we open our AJs, and you let a product be your starting point. I loved watching how it went from flat to lively, graffiti-like and though it's not a piece that will be classic Donna Downey page, it was a great teaching tool for your visitors - we saw you work with neat products and techniques and saw you persevere with it, and come to terms with it. Bravo!

What an intriguing new product - love the liveliness of the colours!
That stencil if fabulous - how kind of you to offer to give it away. My question is how do you get that writing - sort of legible, but loose enough to not be legible?

I enjoyed hearing the reasoning behind your journal choices, and see what you work in. I'm curious - you must still take photos to document your family, trips, etc. Are you printing them and if you are, then what - saving them in a box, old school photo albums? It seems several mixed media artists have roots in scrapbooking and I just wonder about the chronicling/documenting part, so I thought I'd ask you since you mentioned early in the video about what a role these journals played as you transitioned away from scrapbooking. Thanks again for this video!

I've been playing around with mixed media for awhile, but am still learning what products work with what. More classes would help because that's when I tend to take notes, learn and remember. When I'm working with things in the studio, I don't always remember what I did to get that look...
We could not do this without our generous supporters, and we are so very grateful to each and every one of them. The next time you are shopping, please remember and support the following fine people & companies who made... Continue reading

Your page is fabulous - I like the colour combination and all that texture. I asked for a gelli plate for Christmas, but Santa missed the boat on that one... maybe I'll win one here. I've like Frog Dog studio for a long time now, well, ever since I heard of them, like late spring. Thanks for the chance to enter.
