This might be the hardest post I ever had written and I have doubted to post it or not, but it has been on my mind sinds last week and I can’t shake it loose. Last week Cory Swapp died.... Continue reading

I'll admit it, I am far from being a perfect mom. I even find it hard to be a mom to two boys. Always have as I do not like all that boys stuff. The screaming, fighting, roughness, playing with... Continue reading

This post will be in Dutch. Continue reading

The 23rd of August was the day Martijn and Joyce got married. Full on summer, beautiful weather and an outdoor wedding what more could you want as a photographer?! I had slept in a hotel closeby so I would be on time the next morning. When I walked in the mood was super relaxed and it actually never changed that whole day. It was an emotional day(Joyce warned me about this up front) and it started when Joyce her best friend came on skype to check in(due to personal circumstances she couldn't be there that morning to help her get... On the 29th of May Lennaert and Coby got married and it was a beautiful day filled with lots of love, laughter, raindrops, sunshine and lots of prettiness! On the request of the couple I made the focus of this post on them and not on the people attending. The morning of their wedding the weather predicaments were not so well and when I arrived at their house it was starting to rain a bit. When Coby was getting her hair and make-up ready I went to photograph her dress and fell in love with it then and there, simply... Continue reading

Elmisch and Miriam married on the 10th of May this year and it was amazing from beginning to end. 7,5 year ago they fell in love and they now also have a gorgeous little girl named Jada. After shooting their Lovebirds shoot I simple knew that their wedding day was going to be amazing....and I was so right! Liesbeth was my second shooter for the day(who did an awesome job!) and she went to Elmisch as I went to Miriam to take the first shots of them getting dressed. When I arrived I heard that poor little Jada was sick... Continue reading

Last year I had the pleasure to photograph the first collection of Victor and Anne for Sjuul Feeling Good Dresses. Beautiful dresses for plus size woman like myself. Victor and Anne are brother and sister and they both are incredible designers and next to that two of the most fun and relaxed and loving people I have met in a long time, I just love them :). So when Victor asked me if I wanted to shoot the second collection also of course I said "YES!". This time it was for the Summer collection and we talked back and fourth... Continue reading

When I met Elmisch and Miriam for the first time I knew right away that they were my kind of people. I think they felt the same way as they booked me for their wedding. But before shooting their grand day we planned to do a Lovebirds shoot. Miriam LOVES baking and her favorite store is Cupcake & Co in Alkmaar were she gets a lot of her baking supplies. Upstairs is a 50 style diner and we knew we had to do the shoot there. Elmisch loves music so we had to incorporate that as well. The best part... Continue reading

Continue reading

When Izabella walked into my studio, with 5 week old Marina, I had no idea that she came from Brazil and that she found me through mutual Brazilian friend Vinicius Matos. He shot their wedding and when she emailed him she couldn't find a good newborn/baby photographer he recommended me :). Lately I have been doing almost all my newborn sessions in my studio and I have to say I love it!!! I always know I have good natural light in there and I have all my props close at hand. I know a lot of newborn photographers rather not... Continue reading

A few weeks ago Vinicus Matos, owner of Escola De Imagem and a well known Wedding Photographer in Brazil, asked me if I was interested in doing a one day seminar in Brazil during a three day workshop event called Photo Family. Hmmmm let me think....Duh! YES!!! I did an on-line live interview with him a few months ago at 1 or two in the morning(I miscalculated the time difference!) and it was so much fun, talking to so many(mostly) Brazilian photographers on-line! Next to myself Newborn Photographer Stephanie Robin from the USA will also be doing a workshop at... Continue reading

Last Tuesday I had the pleasure to go to an introduction to “Beloved” Photography, organised by my friend Florence Bavinck. Florence is the first Dutch certified “Beloved” Photographer and allthough I already knew a bit about this style of photography I never knew how it went in a real shoot and if it was something for me. Florence told us what “Beloved” was and how she and other “Beloved” photographers are using it in their photography, the tools and that it will work with anyone who gets in front of your camera. In the afternoon we got to see for... Continue reading

97% change of rain, even stormy weather, was predicted on all weather channels and weather websites for November first, the wedding day of Dennis and Linda. Now you have to know that I always tell all my clients that they do not have to worry about the weather, that I will make sure that we will have a blue skye, some white clouds and a sun peeking through. All my weddings I shot so far had bad weather reports days prior to the wedding, and on all weddings the blue skye, white clouds and little sun were there even if... Continue reading

OMG! This was such a fun Loveshoot! When Coby emailed me her idea for a loveshoot I got excited right away, as I already knew it was going to be so much fun! It took some searching but she found a place where she could buy the Holi Powder that they use in India during a celebration. So we met up in Amsterdam, had a drink, took some "normal" shots and then it was time to get messy! The powder was a lot thicker then we expected, maybe we had to make it more loose up front? But the fun... Continue reading

On wednesday I had the pleasure to do a workshop in Amsterdam with a super talented and well known wedding photographer from Mexico, Fer Juaristi. I love following workshops as it inspires me to always get better and try new things and this workshop was no exception! We talked all day and his energetic and fun vibe made everyone smile and laugh all day long. We did a shoot outside with a lovely couple that just got married two months ago. As I usually always go for the front light and Fer is always looking for the sidelight it was... Continue reading

The little cutie that I will be sharing with you today is named Lukas. Lukas is just one year old and according to his parents Erin and Roy he is a serious but very happy baby who doesn't give smiles easily. He is an observer and likes to sit and look at things first, rather to explore them right away. We went to 't Twiske to take their family photos. When we just had the first few done, I heard Roy say: "Hey there's a pig" . I turned around and OMG the most cutest little pig was behind me,... Continue reading

13 Years together. Miranda always dreamed of her wedding, Jan not so much. He told her after they got their two children Lotte and Job they would get married one day when the kids were old enough. The kids got older and Lotte even mentioned it as she saw her moms last name was not the same as the rest of them. So one day out of the blue, not romantic at all he said it was maybe time to get married. Miranda knew that that was the best proposal she would get and jumped on it right away, finally... The people who follow me on facebook know that I have been extremely busy for the last 2 weeks due to multiple deadlines. I am so happy to say that a few of them are met and the post today is one of them. This past summer I shot the new collection of Sjuul Feeling Good Dresses, a brand new clothing company created by Victor and Anne van Westering, brother and sister and two of the sweetest and creative persons I know. Both with backgrounds of years in the designing field they noticed that there were not enough beautiful dresses... Continue reading

I stopped photographing large groups of people this year but I sometimes make exceptions when it comes to friends or previous clients. Danielle is one of my best friends and I adore her mom Clazina. Clazina got a shoot with me for her birthday last year but due to the weather and such we were not able to do it last year so it had to happen this year. It was warm and very sunny the day of the shoot, so it is always a challenge to find spots with shade, but also to be able to dare to work... Continue reading

Like I told yesterday I am way behind with blogging. I have been so busy with so many things at the same time that blogging is usually last on my to do list. But I am trying to change that as off today as I have way to much to share with you :) Todays posts is about Delis Photography being published or being featured on blogs. I am so proud and honored when magazines and/or blogs want to use the photos that I took. It always brings a huge smile on my face :) I am starting with Wit... Continue reading
