Your traditions are much like ours when all the kids were home and when I was growing up. So nice that we are passing these down to our children. I hope they pick the parts they like and teach their children. Much love and good wishes for a Merry Christmas! Sent from my iPhone

Missing Mommy, Grandma, Aunt Anita, and even those who are still here but we never see. Driving home from doctor today, I thought, "This is the kind of morning when I'd go visit Aunt Anita." But there was no older relative to visit.

Can I have a show of hands: How many of you do all your prep AND most of your cooking for Thanksgiving before Thursday, and just have to shove the turkey in the oven and make the gravy? Do you (or your help - ha ha - like a child/hubby/unwitting neighbor) set the table the day before? How many know how to make gravy (not from a can). How many of you make your own cranberry sauce? Homemade biscuits? Appetizers in the living room? First course at table, or just dive straight into the mashed sweet potatoes? Oh - do... Continue reading

Alicia, there definitely were angels among us. I remembered today that I had made an appointment at urgent care and at the last second called my primary to see if the PA could see me. So many pieces to the puzzle! I am thrilled at seeing your latest travel adventures! Looks fascinating! Xoxo Sent from my iPhone

Hi Mary Beth, Some good things come out of bad. I am so happy to hear from you and other old friends. I figured the blog readers had long given up. I am stretching my wings - and lungs- and feeling alive and peaceful for the first time in a long time. U hope you and your family are well and that you are still creatively inspired! ❌⭕️🎼⭕️ Sent from my iPhone

Dear Helen, it is connections like ours that keep me in social media. Our connecting after all these years was more than serendipity. When are you going to Sicily? Xo Sent from my iPhone

Dear Lynne, I am very lucky to have had all things come together and have it removed before it metastasized. Take care of yourself by getting all the screenings, and make lots of art in between! 😍 Sent from my iPhone

I’ve always plunged right into things. This time, it was a rocky start and a sneaky rogue wave tried to pull me over. I’m here though, with a battered life preserver and soggy hair! 💖💖💖 Sent from my iPhone

Stunned is the perfect word, Mim. Hit out of nowhere. Sounds weird but it wasn’t one of the things that’s was on my “worry list”, like breast cancer. We think we have our lives figured out - ha! Will be happy to recuperate and have a get together with the Sicily Chicks. Sent from my iPhone

Bella, I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. My surgeon said that non smokers getting lung cancer is not as uncommon as people think. I’m glad she caught it at Stage 2 and I know your prayers will help her fight the fights. I think it is ok to say it f-ing sucks. Thank you. 😘 Sent from my iPhone
