How can we achieve justice for the victims of systemic discrimination as a class if you insisted on defending yourself as an individual rather than excepting your guilt as a member of a class? Real self defense occurs when victims of systemic racism take what is rightfully theirs. Check your privilege!

Then they came for the Bronies: https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2020/06/my-little-pony-nazi-4chan-black-lives-matter/613348/ Because nothing can be free from censorship. I particularly liked how the author seems to find it problematic that Derpibooru forbid complaining about content and instead instruct visitors to use the site’s filtering tools to avoid images they don’t want to see. as though taking responsibility for your own viewing is beyond her.

even something as simple as an icebreaker asking people what the “most fun thing you’ve done with your family during quarantine” could be a microaggression. Why yes, anything can be a microaggression and that seems to be the point. Asking "How are you?" can be a microaggression, since that marginalizes people who aren't doing at all well, which is ableism.

The vast majority of people worldwide, as well as millions in the UK, do not have their needs met Wow, what kind of third world pest-hole are you guys running if "millions in the UK do not have their needs met"? They must be starving in the streets and lining up to leave. Why, the flood of refugees from the UK must be overwhelming Europe. Oh, wait, none of that's happening and that claim about "millions in the UK" must be fresh off of the San Francisco sidewalk. This seems to be a combination of make believe solidarity with the less fortunate and a kind of fantasy distopia the writer dreams of. The question of what needs are not being met and how to meet them is neglected in favor of considering how to replace the writers fantasy distopia with a swinging, upbeat distopia with dancing.
until you become an insufferable, neurotic prodnose. "They say misery loves company We could start a company and make misery" - Soul Asylum got it slightly wrong. You need to a university to make large scale, life altering misery

principles of non-hierarchical organisation This almost seems like a contradiction in terms. Some people are going to end up in charge no matter how "non-hierarchical" they claim to be. We’ll also have a kids workshop Do you think non-hierarchical Barbie will be involved? Remember to bring your instrument if you want to play during the acoustic open mic. Sounds like a show for the ages.

On being put on a diet by her parents: having my food consumption policed meant i developed creative and adaptive ways to continue being able to eat the foods my body wanted to be able to eat OK, being forced to go on a diet by her parents probably did suck and was foredoomed to failure, but I find the phrasing interesting here: "to eat the foods my body wanted to be able to eat". She was just following her body's orders, folks.

Whether, in a matriarchal society without examples of male aggression, those boys would grow up to be the kind of man who grabs a peaceful protester by the back of her neck remains one of the great unknowns. Because boys growing up in homes without fathers always turn out to be so peaceful.

Wow, so your parents are morally incompetent so you have to supervise their voting. I love how this, which I've always heard is illegal in the USA, is only the first step and I doubt their could ever be a last step.

So, not being a failure makes you right wing (and, therefore, a sinner) and pride in you accomplishments is a bad thing. But, if you become a perfect failure, have you not succeeded in failing?

Am I missing something? Some of the astronauts flew more than one mission. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Apollo_astronauts Thirty-two astronauts were assigned to fly in the Apollo manned lunar landing program. Twenty-four of them left Earth's orbit and flew around the Moon on nine missions. Jim Lovell, John Young, and Eugene Cernan flew more than on mission, so Apollo 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 = 9 missions that got to the moon, so 9*3 - 3 = 24 people who were on missions that got to the moon. Twelve people landed on the moon, but a total of 24 flew around the moon.

Like 'white supremacy' and 'patriarchy', it's whatever they want it to be (and can change at any time). And how Venezuela was a demonstration of how socialism made peoples lives better, until it had never been socialist and only a cretin would suggest it had been. Its a magical world where facts are mutable according to immediate need.

[T]he protesters are “read-only,” ... They have been led to believe that exposure to information is in and of itself dangerous. There also seems to be an authoritarian streak at work. How dare you want the facts to make up your own mind when your betters have already decided the issue?

[T]he way to “abolish systems of domination and hierarchy” is to exult in mob violence...a pretext for thuggery, as the students disavow any particulars to that effect. Perhaps answers will spontaneously emerge, This lack of any coherent ideology or any road map to where they want to go or any rational idea of what the destination might look like reminds me of the 1975 book The Monkey Wrench Gang. The saboteurs in the book have no ideology or plan other than lets wreck some stuff, which seemed odd at the time but now appears to be mainstream. With no plan for the future, Antifa can only be tools to be used and discarded.
