a 'better late than never' giveaway
Firstly, thank you so much for all of the messages about my finger. Happily the hefty dose of antibiotics did the trick and kept me out of hospital and I now have a normal looking finger again which can bend and, most importantly, knit (hooray!). Never again will I have complete faith in a...
Dear Julie, Congratulations on your 10th year of blogging. I find that writing is very therapeutic and almost comforting in a way and I enjoy reading about others who have posted a comment on your blog. Your patterns are the sweetest ever and I have several. My sister is teaching me knitting as my eyes are having trouble cross stitching which I did for years and I needed something to do with my hands. Your patterns were the answer to my prayers. I'll keep watching for more creations of yours.

Elephants
Hello and sorry to have been away for so long. There has been rather a lot going on here recently in between the day-to-dayness of family life. Of course I've been knitting lots and have finished off a few animals which I'm hoping I have time to re-home before easter. But I've also been busy wri...
I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute stitching this wonderful "Christmas gift" you have designed for us. May you and your family have a fun-filled and thankful Thanksgiving Day and a blessed Merry Christmas!
Mary's Sampler, Finale
Knock-knock. Who's there? Mary. Mary who? What do you mean, Mary who? Where have you been for the last 9 weeks? :) And so we arrive at the last section of our Sunday Mystery Sampler. I hope you've enjoyed yourself, and that the pace has been manageable for you. And if not, then I do hope you're ...
I have not been able to stitch much these past months because of eye issues but you have made it possible with your wonderful sampler. The little motifs make it possible for me to keep up. Thank you, Paulette
Mary's Sampler, Part 5
Welcome back! Is everyone still hanging in there? We've only got 4 weeks left after today! If you've fallen behind, or decided to just catch up at a later date, I'd like to gently urge you to get caught up as soon as possible (if you really do want a newly-finished sampler to begin your holiday ...
What an absolutely adorable kitty and you can almost feel the love that Sophie has for her wonderful Tilly-Roux......congratulations on the new addition!
Hers.
Ever since Bre's Tilly came to live with us briefly last year, Sophie has been longing for a kitten of her own. I'd have been happy if Tilly had just stayed behind when Bre moved away, but no, Tilly wanted to move away with her mama. Sophie had been asking for weeks if we could rescue a kitten f...
Dutch Beauty is absolutely breathtaking and it looks beautiful in your room...
From Holland with Love
Dutch Beauty has returned to me, and I am incredibly happy with her. When I crawled into bed last night, I sat for quite a while just looking up at it and marveling that such a young girl (by today's standards) would have stitched something so astounding. Was it expected of her to do so? Did she...
We just had our family reunion and had great fun going though old photos of Mom and Dad but wish we had the foresight to ask them years ago to identify many other relatives and friends in the pictures. They are precious memories and I loved looking at the old pictures that you have of your husband's family....how simple life seemed back then! Barbara

A Disappointing Curiosity
A few weeks ago I decided to finally start going through all of Mike's parents' belongings that have been stored in our basement for the past year. I had avoided this enormous undertaking for a long time bc it involved sorting through literally thousands of photos and removing what seemed like h...
I think sharing so much about yourself and family, makes it feel as if you are more like a friend than a blogger. Hope you enjoy all your endeavers and continue to write to us.
Blog Fodder
When I first started blogging back in 2004, I had intended to write just about my stitching endeavors - sort of a way to keep myself motivated by posting my plans and progress reports. Then I started designing, and it went from my "Cranberry Crossing" blog (the name coming from the primitive/fol...
