Hi Essex Girl, I was born in 1946 in the houses at the top of the chase on Billericay road. I played on Heron Hall around the moat when it was farmed by the McClure family, but not afterwards when Ford or a Ford Cars director owned it. Mr Brown [the manager] did'nt like local children in his fields My older brother Robert also spent time on Heron Hall with the McClure children. Does any of this ring a bell with you. I went to the Ingrave Primary School when Mr Ford then Mr Stowell were headmasters and Mrs Riches was a teacher.I would like to be able to place you. Barry Pratt
