Thanks for stopping by, Lara! The chain is inexpensive chain from Michael's in the jewelry making section - I'm sure they'll have something similar. I used a round nose pliers (also known as a rosary plier) and simply curled the brad legs around each side of the open loop (so that the brad goes down through the center, then each leg is wrapped around the loop). To seal them into place I used a bit of Crystal Effects (Glossy Accent) but you could use a little clear glue like an E600. If you can't find quite the same chain, you can buy chain with little round circles on it and then just snip the legs off the brad and glue (E600) the brad direct. Good luck! Hope that helps :-) Rebecca

Thank you Brenda! Yes, I use a piece of brown paper bag (or several) to "soak" up the embossing powder when I'm removing it (going over it with a warm iron). Newspaper will work also. The technique is similar to this one on Splticoast: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/colorwashfauxbleach/ (except I just sponged the color on instead of spritzing it with colors). Hope that helps! Rebecca

There are some great youtube vids for the kniffty knitter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pclJ7gUvEAY She starts with the knit stitch, but the e stitch is fast and fun. *at about the 1:17 mark, she shows the "e" wrap (twisted knit stich)- which is very easy and great for chunky yarn (like the stuff I have her). Perl is 2:42 mark.

Thank you! These are fun to make and are bit different for me than my usual. Alcohol inks work awesomely on foil! You can either dab it on with TH tools and some alcohol blending solution ... or just play! They adhere quickly - I used alcohol inks on this project in lettuce and stream, and then blended them altogether: http://www.diylife.com/2011/05/20/random-recast-aluminum-foil-round-up/

Thanks Ky! I thought I'd make a simple card, and then just felt I needed to add a flock of butterflies! PS I forgot to add it into my post (and just edited it in) but I'm making a few cards to send to Project Sunshine and Smiles cards for St. Jude's ... . http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/2011/06/project-sunshine-and-smiles-for-st.html

All kittens are cute Bonnie :-) thanks! I can't wait for them to be feeling better - they have Bordetella - which is like bronchitis, its known as "kennel cough" in dogs and a bit unusual in cats. They're on meds, and get a little better each day - but I'll feel better when they really get past this!

Hi Clemencia - Usually my art journal projects all start out that way .... and I just try to let them go wherever they want to! I find art journals more challenging since I feel like my papercrafts follow a form. To answer your question: the whole page started out in watercolors - the lime green, blue, and the spaces between the circlers are where yellow and orange. I then painted over the orange stuff with copper colored acrylic paints (I used the Mica inks from Judikins). I think you had asked about my 5 x 5 journals from last week. These are really easy! They start out as these blank notebooks from Michael's craft stores, so you coud use almost any size. I cut paper to fit them, stamp them up if I want to add to the paper design and use gel medium (use modge podge if you don't have gel medium, or any paper adhesive) to adhere the paper. I like the gel medium because it makes a very smoooth coat! The ribbon is purchased on Etsy (its made from recycled silk sari's that have been cut into strips) - I make the flowers. I do have some info on how to make them here: http://bellacarta.typepad.com/rebecca/2010/08/pspscusbr-or-in-other-words-flower-.html Hope that is helpful! Rebecca
