Brrr...! she is very brave! I sure would not want to do that barefoot and without a winter jacket over here! I suppose Maine's winter is a little less chilly than my Québec winter! LOL At least it gives a beautiful sense of spring, bringing my hopes up that winter is almost over...I am getting bored of all that snow!

I am so amazed at all the things you manage to accomplish with your time and all your kids. I would love to have the discipline for myself to do all that and for my kids to "let me" do it. I truly wonder what is your magic potion to be able to look after 5 kids, including a baby and a toddler, knit everything you knit, sew everything you sew, find time to make soap, write in a magazine and keep up with your blog! WOW! I raise my hat to you Amanda! You are my inspiration every day! Very nice sweater by the way!

Well, that wasn't so awful. Four inches of unknitting, and two more knitting it back again, and now all is well. The sweater fits over my head, the collar is right where I want it to be, and I can officially call this one a completed success. Hooray! I once again used Elizabeth Zimmermann's...

I just started following your blog recently and it only dawned to me with this post that your daughter is the same age as mine! Annabel is very sweet! I love the red knitted dress she is warring on the last photo. And just like that, congrats on starting solids! I know what an early eater is, I have two of them! (they both started cereal at 3 weeks)
