Lucca and I have a game that we have been playing for the past few months. I started it, by sometimes putting my foot gently, on top of one of his front feet in a teasing manner. He is very mischievous and he would eventually jerk his foot out from... Continue reading

We were invited for a fall/winter cruise, aboard my daughter and son-in-law's new boat, Airship. The plan was to tour some of the San Juan Islands. We were to meet them in La Conner, Washington, on Sunday, October 25, 2020. It is normally a three hour drive, but in the... Continue reading

Andiamo, Journey & Lucca with their ribbons. My good boys each got a RAT1 Instinct Title - Qualification ribbon at our Barn Hunt last Sunday. It was Lucca's first Barn Hunt. He had not gotten a chance to go to a Rat Workshop, so he really did not know what... Continue reading

I had only entered Andiamo in the Saturday morning class. Andi has already been in competition once. He was in a Rat Instinct test, where he qualified and earned a Rat Instinct Title. (Rat I). He loved it and he was also entered in his first Novice class. He had... Continue reading

This was the start of the Novice class. A friend was kind enough to climb to the balcony in the barn, to take a video. However, my phone did not have enough space for another video, so she was unable to get it. Oh well, we will be doing this... Continue reading

Pirate loves his puppy, Andiamo, more today than ever. Journey does too! Yesterday was rainy and kind of boring for a certain puppy by the name of Andiamo. In the afternoon, while Pirate and Journey were relaxing to the soft rain sounds and the drowsy weather, I decided to take... Continue reading

"Did you call me, mom?" Andi it's time for school. Let's get going. When it is just Andi and me going to agility class, he rides shotgun (in the passenger seat). He sits up very straight and watches where we are going. He loves his agility class and he takes... Continue reading

I had a few errands to take care of and Andiamo had not been to Home Depot in a while. I also needed a few things from Petco, which is another of Andi's favorite places to go. We had fun in Petco and saw a friend, Liz and her husband.... Continue reading

Journey in his gazebo, looking through the window space, for passing food dishes. It was morning, shortly after our first walk of the day. Journey was feeling great and was in his gazebo, awaiting his breakfast. I had just taken his dish in to the kitchen to fill it for... Continue reading

They play through the wires in the pen. It is really cute. The other guys know how to sneak Journey's toys out of the gazebo if he leaves them too close to the edges. Journey has learned to keep them away from the edges. What a pack! Sometimes Journey places something near the edge, then he grabs it back at the last minute.

Journey standing for photograph. In third week after surgery. Journey had his two week check up on Saturday the 3rd of September. Dr. Lozier said he looks good. There is still a little swelling in his knee, but he is placing it correctly and everything seems to be healing properly.... Continue reading

Journey at VCA NW Veterinary Specialists "Mom thought I had an emergency, but I was just bored". Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016. Six days after surgery. It seems longer. Some improvements have been pretty consistent in the last several days. Journey is gradually getting his appetite back, a little bit at... Continue reading

I don't remember exactly when I noticed a problem with Journey's hind leg. It doesn't really matter, because as it turned out, the trouble started way before I saw it. I took him to our regular veterinarian, at Timberland. Of course I was dreading the possible diagnosis of it being... Continue reading

To our friends who may be interested in hearing information about Journey's injured leg and what his doctor had to say about it. Our news is not good. Journey and I went to see Dr. Lozier yesterday, at VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists. The injury in his right rear leg is... Continue reading

We made it through another 4th of July "celebration"? I changed a few things in the way I handled it. Some things seemed to make it better and some things apparently did nothing to help Pirate. It is a helpless feeling when all I can really do is help him... Continue reading

What a time we have been having! First I discovered a small pink raised area on Pirate's lower, front lip. It has been there a little while, as maybe three and four weeks. It seemed like possibly he snagged it and since he has no other pink on his lips,... Continue reading

Journey, Pirate & Andiamo In the process of trying to obtain a shot with attention from all three, we had some happy accidents. Sometimes I enjoy the accidents as much as the finished project. Below are a few of the mishaps along the way: Pirate: "I think this bee might... Continue reading

Chicken gizzards, hearts and liver is a favorite. Sometimes I use ground turkey, beef or even fish. Yesterday they... Continue reading

Andiamo agreed to sit by the bronze dog statue. He kept a close eye on it, just to be sure it did not move. I could not get him any closer to it. It was a little weird looking, and it was bigger than Andi. The picture is a little... Continue reading

What a weekend we had! Terrible weather to be in a cold barn; in and out walking three big white dogs through mud and water in a parking lot that had such deep puddles that there were Mallard ducks swimming in some of them. There was a high wind alert... Continue reading
