Fun, fun, fun!!!

There is nothing you can't do with Mosaic Moments!

1. The weather-we lived in the beautiful city of Seattle for 10 years while my husband got his Doctorate, and the rain didn't bother me, since I knew that it mostly came in the Winter. The Springs, Summers and Falls were gorgeous weather! 2. I've learned to accept the old scrapbook pages which I cringe at now when I look at them. I accept them and don't change them, as some of my friends do. 3. Bad-hair day-do what I can, Let what I can't fix go! 4.My garden this summer-so little rain, but I am not letting it bother me. I have mostly perennials, and they will come back (most of them, anyway) next year! 5. Books overdue at the library-I just enjoy the end of the book and pay the fine.

1. Dad was the Chief Plant engineer at the Torrington Company in my hometown of Torrington, CT. 2. He seemed to thrive on his work! 3. He had to make trips down South the years the Torrington Co, built new plants down there. 4. Mom was a fiercely proud homemaker who did lots of volunteer work. 5. When I was little, I would always say that I wanted to be a "plain, ordinary homemaker" (like Mom). I became an Early Childhood Education teacher AND a homemaker!

1. Obviously, the poem you shared. 2. All the images-print, computer, etc., which go along with the above poem. 3. Nice to be reminded that we are not alone. 4. Our son, who is now 32 years old, had SUCH large feet (and knees!) as a newborn. I thought he would probably grow into them, as a puppy grows into his large paws! He did! 5. SO many scrapbook embellishments are in the shape of footprints!

1. The arty sand art item which we got-turn it over and watch the designs made when the sand dribbles out between the air bubbles. Sounds lame, but it is fascinating! 2. Storm is a coming. 3. I feel for the poor people in the wake of Issac. 4. There WILL be a bright sunny day eventually! 5."The Sun Will Come Out, Tomorrow!:

1. Finished up a relaxing week on the Outer Cape with my husband at a Bread & Breakfast. 2. Canoed on a Salt Pond. 3. Got together with my grief group which is continuing on after the official 4 sessions ended. Good support! 4. Gained NO WEIGHT while on vacation! 5. Our son will get home from a scientific cruise in time so he and his family can attend a birthday dinner for my husband tomorrow!

1. That cigar box full of marbles from my father's childhood! 2. Still have it! 3. Some were metal, but I loved the colored ones. 4. In my kaleidoscope collection, I have one for which the "colors" are a marble! 5. I once commented on a green and white marble a friend had lying around, and she gave it to me. Now I have it lying around, and it makes me happy whenever I come across it!

1. Buttery and salty! 2. Eating at the movies! 3. Movie night at home-DVD's! 4. Shaking a special popcorn wired thing back in the 50's over the stove burner. 5. Burnt kernels if you leave the bag in the microwave too long....

1. "The Boxcar Children"-the first book before the series was started. I read that book over and over again, and then to classrooms of kids and then to my son. 2. "Run Away Home"-a book I can not find anywhere now. It was about a little girl in Scotland who was found with a locket with a piece of heather and a picture of a young woman in it. Thus, her journey, when she got older, was to find her home and her story. Does anyone remember this? (Back in the 50's) 3. The whole "Bobsey Twins" series. 3. "5 Little Peppers and How they Grew" series. 4. "The Borrowers" 5. "The Snow Queen" A friend of my mother lent me an old big leather book with magnificent pictures. It was magical!

1. 43 years! 2, A week at a bed and breakfast on the Cape for our 35th. 3. A special romantic dinner 4. So very lucky!

1. "the livin' is easy..." 2. Blueberry picking! 3. Gardening 4. Time at the ocean 5. The kids not being in school! 6. Time to just "be."

1. Watching the little kids watch the baby animals. 2. The 4H exhibits 3. Seeing the food, art work, crafts, etc. which are being judged 4. Seeing things through my granddaughters eyes!

1. I only gained 3/4 lb. over the weekend, when we had a party at our house!!! 2. Have walked with my dear friend, Penny,twice this week and plan on doing it again tomorrow morning! 3. The garden is looking great! Yay for perennials! 4. Air conditioning in this heat wave. (We don't run it unless absolutely necessary, but it IS yesterday through Sat!) 5. Summer sensibility is easing on in!

Pre-visit- 1. Clean the house!!! (That's why I like having guests! Gets the house picked up and clean!) 2. Neaten up the yard and gardens. 3. Food shop! 4. Have my husband make his famous key lime pie! During visit- 1. Much visiting, catching up, laughing, picture-taking After visit- 1. Enjoy the picked-up and clean house!!!
