Gorgeous impression plate. And I love the colour combination you used on the sympathy card - it is so easy just to fall into the pastels trap for those cards!
I love the background basics: Christmas stamps. They look so versatile and I'm sure they could be used all year round!
This set is so lovely, and well designed. I also love the die, tags look lovely with contrasting paper rings.
Wow you guys worked HARD!! I would have liked a picture of you all looking shattered at the end! The stand looked amazing, I love the shots of the colour sections. Wish I'd been there!

Well, we went for our visa interviews yesterday, in order to get there on time we travelled down on the Sunday. On the Sunday evening, we went to see the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. I had always wanted to see an orchestra and I was not disappointed. It... Continue reading

As a Chemistry teacher and general all-round Science geek, I absolutely love combining craft and Science! My absolute favourite "Science Topic" is the periodic table and it's development. If you've never learnt about it, basically this genius Russian, Dmitri Mendeleev figured out the patterns of the elements - but the... Continue reading

I made an ink pad storage thingy today! I didn't want to spend much (anything!) as we have to get "dental fitness" certificates and it's costing a fortune, so I recycled a box one of Stew's birthday pressies came in. I am actually quite pleased with it, and it certainly... Continue reading

Last day of term today! Wahey, 6 weeks to do WHATEVER I LIKE. It was really sad to see all the leavers, my school is in financial dire straits so they have offered early retirement to some members of staff and 10 were leaving, most of whom I had the utmost of respect for and were true inspirations. Good luck guys and enjoy your retirement! As an aside, I played Guitar Hero vs. the Sixth Form today and although I was awful, it was loads of fun and I now want to learn to drum! I have just completed my first swap with ILWS. I am so pleased as I am really inspired by the other swappers' cards and I hope they are too. Anyway I have started another, Christmas swap. It's a bit selfish as I am stuck for Christmas ideas but I'm sure there's others in that boat! Not much joy on the Etsy front. I know my photos are rubbish but I don't know if my stuff would sell even with good pics. It's so hard to read customer's minds! Continue reading

Well. It seems it's been a while. Lots of news from me! I got my first Etsy sale (woo!), won Sarah Makin's blog competition, resigned my job... etc etc! Etsy is a mystery to me. I can't say my shop has gone off like a rocket but I am getting... Continue reading

I made two versions of this card for my FIL (Papa) and my Dad (Grandpa). It's really quick to make two cards more or less the same, I think every time I make a card now, I'll make a second for "stock". Just as long as I don't send the same one twice (quite likely). Continue reading

I bought two of these IKEA frames to put some prints in. Of course, I hadn't measured the prints and surprise, surprise, they didn't fit. So I've been wracking my brains thinking what to do with the frames. Well, I had a genius idea today. Our bedroom is green, which... Continue reading

OK so Stew has skedaddled to South Africa. I had a nightmare getting J to bed, he really wanted to see Daddy. Despite having tried to explain what was happening, we both ended up in tears. Oh well, 3 weeks isn't long in the grand scheme of things. I have... Continue reading
