I love how your blog posts keep revolving around discussions (and / or argurements) Skye and I keep having.
My arguement is we keep being busy with CRAP while we're ignoring our stated priorities.
We dont have time to read the Bible together, but we watched 3 episodes of NICS.
We don't have time to spend time together, but I played a game for four hours without moving.
I haven't posted a blog post, but I surfed the internet and facebook for an hour.
Really?!?! Come on!
If we focused on our priorities we'd all be doing better in life and have less stuff to do.
I'm tired of 'busy' and I'm not that damn important
For the few of you who aren't mortally wounded that I used the word 'damn', this life-reality is burdening me greatly. Hordes of people are dying from their life circumstances, but feel unable to act and achieve a different reality. They, we…are all too busy. I'm sick of everyone being 'busy',...
Kevin, Gene, if yall want to hear a powerful message that concides with this (one of the points is getting counsel from others) listen to the following sermon by Rick Warren.

Kevin, I think this message is perfect for FAA.
What if God told you to be self-employed?
Imagine if you would, a knock on your door one day. As you approach, the light shines from outside. You open, and behold…Jesus Christ in the flesh is on your doorstep. And He says, "My dear child, I have a path for you, and it's free from the shackles of a job that demands it must be your pr...
Gene, I couldn't agree more with your post. I have had several conversations lately where I related how God is speaking to me through His word, or a sermon, or something said to me. I have been countered several times by people asking how I can be certain since I was not blinded by God's radiance nor did a bush catch on fire and speak. I believe that God is not limited in how he can communicate with us. But it's up to us (with the help of the Holy Spirit) to realize and understand what He is saying.

And once you've got the feeling / belief that God did tell you to go for it, check out: Galatians 1:16-17
"...my immediate response was not to consult any human being. 17 I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus."
Once you hear His voice you need to go forth and DO IT!

I'm right there with you, Kevin!
Not sure if you remember, but I put in my questionare when I applied to FAA:
I'm tired of reading countless books and not applying what I've learned. I'm tired of dreaming and not taking the steps to make my dreams happen.
All of us are guilty of learning for entertainment pursposes at some point. Fortunately, I, like you, have been convicted about this one lately and am doing my best to take steps to apply what it is I've learned over so many years.

Your continued reading and listening is a sin
We'll be discussing this in our 12pm MT, live Free Agent Underground Show this afternoon. You can join us here. If you are reading this blog, you probably read other blogs. If you listen to my podcasts, you probably listen to other podcasts. Chances are you may get some business magazines, or y...
