I think the key thing is a lack of planning. Simply setting goals, determining what has to happen in what order and when and most importantly scheduling time to do the tasks that need to be done.
Beyond that, I see too many people spending time on non business social media.

I could not agree more. Another way to look at this data is that relationships are an effective way to sales. It is reasonable to expect that those who had more than 4 sales calls before the sale built a relationship with the buyer.
